mega thread Why you chose your user name.

"Zombies" comes from my love for zombie related games/movies. I'm interested in the concept of a virus being able to completely "reprogram" a person.

The "164" actually comes from Club Penguin. When I first signed up, the name I wanted was taken but one of the suggested names had the 164 tagged on to it. So I took that. A couple years later when creating another account (I have no idea what though), I had the Zombies, but it had been taken. Then me being uncreative as I am, I put 164 on the end since I remembered it from back then. It stuck and now it's the first thing I go to if "Zombies" is taken.

I chose it because I love Twilight Sparkle  And I love the sea so that's where the Aqua part of it came from ^_^ Later on, I made an OC and named her Aqua :)

I chose mine because I made a lovable character for my novel who had the same name, and I like it so, I chose it.  :squee:

My name comes from a typo of the word "Lightning", with the M being substituted by the W, thus leaving Lightwing.

At first my name would've been Surprise like the G1 pony since Pinkie Pie is my favorite, but after coming across some words I seen last year, I thought Sunrise would fit me nicely.

Anyone who see my username would think they see doubles. I mean Sunrise and Surprise looks awfully similar with 'su' and 'rise' at same positions. I also like the sun too.

Mine is from my YouTube name, Wolvesvids 101 (which is also the name I use for pretty much everything now), as well as my Animal Jam nickname. My user is Ilovewolves76298 (cos Ilovewolves was taken, naturally), and my friend and scammer-catching-team leader just shortened it to Wolves. The name stuck, which inspired my YouTube channel name, and therefore I am named Wolves :D

I chose the name Fluster because when I first joined Poniverse I was incredibly confused.

For some reason my head was spinning, and when I had to pick a username I was still completely flustered~

and there ya go. Fluster. :P

I choosed my username because i didnt liked the name Dune that much anymore. Some people asked me if the name has anything to do with the Dune Bock Series of Frank Herbert. And yes, its kinda based from the Movie, but than i realized that i pretty much forgot everything about the movie anyway and i didnt read the books...so..the name wasnt really fitting anymore

Then i started to watch .hack//SIGN which is an anime. And i liked it so far. And i like the music. And i like Rarity. So the name .hack//RARITY was created. And Fallentrench helped a little with the cool Avatar and Signature  :please:

I changed my name to Smarts because it sounds better...

I-I mean, I was always called Smarts. Didn't change my name at all, no siree. I don't know what you are talking about, shut up!

I wanted to choose a unique name for my OC and ultimately other personas. For some reason I saw two words and put them together as surtep. And I said "Huh.. I like it but it sounds a little random" So I flipped it around. "Petrus"

About seven or eight years ago i drew a stick figure with spikes on it. For whatever reason I decided to keep working with said figure and actually develop it into an actual character and give it different stories and scenarios to go through that i'm still coming up with to this day. Unfortunately, I suck at coming up with names and called him "Spike-fire" for the first couple of years. I then decided to change his name to "Spikus Fyre" because of the reason of I'm an idiot and i thought it sounded like "Old English" a little bit. It stuck. Since I basically use said name as my own for basically everything since i based the personality of the character off of mine that's why I have this name.

TL;DR made up a character like eight years ago and use it's name for mine cause reasons.

I liked the way it sounds. Whenever I would see/hear the word Nom Nom, a image of a baby eating apple slices popped in my head...I have no idea why, just another crazy, weird way in which my brain thinks ^^.

It's simple. My real, give name is Charles, and being trans I referred to myself as the female equivalent. Similarly the "R" is the surname initial and you know about the MLP stuff.

I find usernames and junk to be unimportant and quite frankly I'm terrible at it. :P At least it's better than those completely random letter chains I used like "resi21" or "yopso64." Seriously, what was I thinking XD

My cat's name is Cookie and people called by my initials when I was in school hence CookieK ,K being short for my first name Katharine.

I chose mine because my sister and I started doing things online (writing on fimfiction) and I wanted a name (or rather a double name) that would tell people absolutely nothing about us. Plus it's kind of a private joke since both my sister and I have huge inferiority complexes.

We're not famous or anything so the name fits perfectly.

In most sites, my username is either "Caliburn" or "Caliburne".

I chose this one because it is similar to those names, and it's also the name for my pony OC.

My name has surprisingly a lot of origins. The 'Ratt' part is partially a reference to the fact that I had a rat as a pet, the band Ratt (that I'm not much of a fan of, but they've got a cool name), and that I've always been a fan of horror. The 'Pitt' part doesn't really have much of a reason behind it, other than that it fits with Ratt. The extra t's is an aesthetic choice. The words RatPit looks too narrow in my opinion.
