My family never has big reunions, if we do have anything it’s a very small one at my Aunt’s house back in Illinois and only like once a year or two. Most of my family is very divided and dysfunctional lol

Not really more or less.. It’s like every time you come in they wanted to know how your life going or career or blah blah typical “is your adult life an successful one?” questions. My mom’s side I don’t mind much seeing except sometime they bring dramas. While my dad’s side is more annoying when your aunts or uncles brag about their kid’s “successful life shit” that I couldn’t care less about. Basically overall you often get compared with your cousins. :bea:

But I like seeing my cousins especially the youngest one. I would be sad though once he grow up. He’s ten now. But I would always bring him Pokemon cards or gift every time we visit. Along with his sister.

I absolutely hate family gatherings! There is always so much drama in my family that when they all get together the tension is high:twi:

I always thought that is what alcohol is for! For family gatherings! :ButtercupLaugh:

I absolutely love seeing family and I say this comes from living so far apart from them. There's years where because of work I may only get to see my extended family once maybe twice a year if I'm lucky :(. It is such a heart warming experience when everyone gets to come together to learn and see how much they've changed. There's times for talking, or playing video, card, or board games because you're never too old to play with cousins or aunts or uncles, or even their kids. The best is those rare occasions when all 30+ members on my dad's side or 40+ members on my mom's side get to come together again.

My family is big and close-knit, but there’s still some serious drama that I’d rather do without. And it’s annoying when they bring up questionable politics. :mlp_gag:

I absolutely despise going to family gatherings since both of my mothers and fathers sides of the family are primarily drunks or using some form of narcotic. Not to mention they get along as well as cats and dogs. So growing up family gatherings often ended up becoming either rowdy or just some huge fight happens and everyone goes home quietly cursing out whatever family member started it. The only family I like gathering with is my little cousin chaos.

I could hardly stand my own parents in my last years with them, so I hated going to my father’s side in his out of nowhere backwoods town in THEIR country, with drunk and uneducated misers for relatives

I have an awesome family, so I love being with them! Different parts of my family have family reunions now and then too, so I always go to those when I can. I don't get to see them as much now that I'm away at school though. :(

Never get together much. It just me, my brother and mt parents get together on Sunday dinner and that it, We had other famliy members but they hardly come to us. I'm not into being socialist much, I'm more being alone and in my room.

Not so much anymore, because every year, less and less relatives are able to make it to our holiday get-togethers. I'd love to have a family reunion though with a ton of folks from one side of the family... I haven't been to a family reunion since I was a kid.
