I don't know a lot of details about this, but a popular comic-maker on Devianart named EStories who makes Think Pink recently had a member of his family attempt suicide:

I'm not sure, myself.  I haven't seen anything new on his deviantart account.  I'll keep an eye on it and post here if there's any news.

 

EDIT:  the news is that he and his wife are doing fine---they're under a lot of stress at the moment, but are otherwise okay.
