Have you tasted soap before?

I had this really nice smelling body wash soap that I tried out of curiosity a couple of years ago. Smell has never been a very good indicator for what something tastes like, has it?

As to why a grown woman would taste soap outside of her childhood years? Let's just say that I would be the type of scientist who would go above and beyond by actually tasting the chemicals in her laboratory only to be found dead face down on her desk at somepoint.

Also. Washing someone's mouth out with soap is an actual physical thing that is done? I always assumed that was just a weird cartoon thing that was too absurd to be real.

There are a few things that you should avoid when it comes to soap: Don't get it in your eyes. Don't put it in your mouth or on your tongue. Don't put it.... 

 

Basically, use it to clean your hands.

Yeah I eat food and not soap so I agree with this person.

When i was little we’d have to bite a bar of soap. The pink wasn’t too bad though.

Yes, I bite into a bar of soap when I was a kid to see what it tasted like, tasted disgusting and spat it out right away

Like many others, I had my mouth washed out once when I was very little (I think it was because I kept spitting). I don't remember the taste at all, but I doubt it was good.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend it, I'd rather have something else. Also smell and taste are connected so sometimes you don't have to smell something to know what it tastes like. Soap smells and tastes like soap lol

Yes, of course. Sometimes it smells too good. I definitely tasted soap with flavors of freshly baked bread and cucumber. I'm not sure what I had to expect but both times it had taste of soap.

I once ate hand soap on accident when I was 6 years old, it was nasty and it left a weird taste in my mouth for a while. I remember eating ice cream that day and it tasted unusual because of the aftertaste the soap left in my mouth.
