Sunset Shimmer - The Sun to Twilight's Moon (S9 Spoilers!)

Sunset Shimmer has really grown as a character over the EG series, and she has come back to Equestia a couple of times. She seems kinda content to stay in the human world, but we saw an alicorn verison (kinda) of her in Friendship Games. It makes me wonder, now that Twilight has pretty much taken over Celestia's role ...

Would Sunset Shimmer be the Sun to Twilight's Moon?

Okay, not quite, but it's an idea. Sunset saw herself as an alicorn in the mirror and wanted the power, and was banished for it. She's grown and developed in the EQ world, and harnessed the power of friendship to become her own human version of an alicorn. It's almost a parallel of Luna's story, albeit without sisterly jealousy. I wonder; would she come back to Equestria now that Twilight is ruling Princess, and could she ascend to an Alicorn in her home world? Could she have been destined, in some AU fic, to be the balance to Twilight? The more down-to-earth, friendly side, the one that has learned from turning to the bad side and recovered, one that has great magic potential (Celestia wouldn't have taken her as a pupil otherwise!), and one that has a sun-themed name and colour scheme to balance the night themes of Twilight's name and colours.
