I lived in Las Vegas for several years so yeah, I have gambled and still do if the occasion arises. It’s not as though I expect to win; I just like to spin the wheel, so to speak, and see what happens.

Absolutely never. I walk into the store and they have this section where they try to get weak people to try to gamble, to get them hooked. It is such a tragedy to watch!

Not anymore, and I think it's for the better. Though I never spent as much money on the lottery as many others do, it just frustrated me more than anything else – no matter how unlikely it is, you obviously keep hoping to win at least a little money sometime, and needless to say, it never happened to me. :nom:

No but my old coworker was a heavy gambler and most of the time she won something. She’d spend hours at the casino. Some days she’d come in and be like I never went to sleep I was at the casino all night. I tried to get her to tell me what she does because

Id like to win money. I can always use more money lol.

But she wouldn’t.

Honestly I have no desire to waste my money trying to figure that stuff out.

Does buying things sight unseen count?

If you don't know the outcome of your purchase, it might be considered gambling.

For the auctions I am participating in, I wait until the very last second (sniping) to keep as final price as low as possible. Still is gambling to me. I can't deny that.

Does gatcha count :fluttershy:? Anyway, it’s been over 4 years ago I’ve used actual money on Fire Emblem Heroes to get a character, in this case: Zelgius :ticking:. But damn, it was ass. Spent over 150$ to finally get one, but to add insult to injury, he came with ass IVs :unamused:. I guess that killed any enthusiasm to keep spending money on that game. Now I merely get daily orbs to summon on worthwhile legendary/ mythic banners and the occasional battle, and that worked better for me :yay:

Dragalia Lost is another one I’ve occasionally paid to get characters I want. But it’s been a while I’ve done so since saving for Galas has worked well enough for me :fluttershy: (gala characters tend to be much better in the meta)

and this is technically gambling as well, as you pay to get figures you don’t know what you’ll get. SPECIALLY if you want one in specific.
1-Not so much with Cutie Mark Crew diabeetus chibi poneh. Never had a figure in particular I’ve wanted. Well, except for a chibi McFlurry, but that was common :fluttershy: (I did get two of the rarest of series 4 tho :mlp_smug:)

2-much early on, when I began my pastel horse collection for real, I’ve wanted a specific Power Pony. The VERY last box I’ve opened had the figurine I’ve wanted :yay:

3-and more recently, Dissectibles. My order of the first series arrived when I was on vacation at Daytona Beach two weeks ago. I’ve wanted specifically the rare enchanted Twi and Fluttershy. Not so much the ultra rare Wonderbolts Dashie, but I wouldn’t have minded getting one. Ordered two cases, and thank goodness I got them, as each case it’s pretty expensive :lostit:.

4-And even earlier on, I’ve ordered the second series of dissectibles, same price. But that was even more demanding because I’ve wanted the ultra rare Enchanted Rainboom Dashie . I was expecting to order another case and try my luck :sunny:..... EXCEPT THE FIRST BOX I’VE OPENED WAS WHAT I’VE WANTED :yay:

I do gamble. But my rewards are not material in nature. And this is the reason why I gambled the inheritance, for example.
It is interesting to watch people going insane over money. All the social pretence crumbles and you see the animal inside of them getting more and more desperate over time.
In a way. I am doing them a service. I am helping them become honest with themselves. Because, besides this ideal concept of morality, they are worthless. And there is not enough possessions in the entire world to cover up this fact of nature. And they know it. They know what they are on the inside. Because it is what I am on the inside as well.
But what bothers me is the lack of honesty to be open about who you really are. Lies, deception, pretence, ulterior motives. That is something I cannot stand. I do not care about money. I want to see these animals suffer. And I won't stop until they are begging on the streets. That is my reward. That is the real reason I gamble.
