This happens to be the very first piece of music I ever downloaded! Most of the music in Cowboy Bebop was completely in English.

How about not. This thread is about anime that in the original Japanese release, used English language songs for their opening or ending theme. It isn't about the sad garbage produced in the lame American re-writes. Stretching a point, I'll post the original Japanese theme. It has two English words in it after all!

I haven't even seen the anime. I'm waiting to see if it gets an English Dub. (If it has one already then tell me. I don't keep up with anime news at all. lol)

 

I prefer to watch anime in dub too,

I feel like if I'm always reading the subtitles it's taking away from me appreciating the animation or even watching it for that fact. ~

Let me clarify. I meant the sad re-writes of the songs. The English translated openings always sound stupid to me. There are quite a few good dubs out there. You're Under Arrest, Cowboy Bebop, Slayers, and Excel Saga, to name a few/

Oh lord, the eyes on the girl on the second video creep me out.

I watched a few episodes of Serial Experiments Lain - her eyes are basically the least creepy thing in it.

 

 

Well, this thread appears to have turned into "What anime opening songs do you like?", so here are a couple of my favourites.

 

First, the Rozen Maiden season 1 opening.

 

And the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex season 1 opening (different parts of the song are sung in Latin, Russian and English).

Oh, I've always loved the GitS theme.

 

When it comes to Cowboy Bebop's Tank!, I like Samurai Champloo's Battlecry more

 

 

And since others are talking about it, I'm kind of right on the fence when it comes to dubs vs subs. Some animes I just really prefer dub such as Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball, Pokemon, ect. because it just seems much more "natural" to me. But then sometimes there's dubs with the most horrid voice actors I've ever heard (and I know this is the most common raisin) so I just HAVE to watch the subb.

 

Then back in the day when I watched Digimon season 1 (best season ever) I absolutely loved the dub's voice actors (since I also watched it on TV and all) but started watching the sub once I found out it was uncensored.
