general media Movies (and other media) that should’ve never had sequels

Well Terminator 2 (the terminator franchise) wouldn't count in this topic as it's supposed to be a franchise you felt should've been one and done. Terminator 2 is a sequel. You're not the only one who put it here tho.

If one felt that Terminator should've stopped after the first film then that counts.

I thought it was about movies in general; like saying that everything after 2 was shit. my bad then.

Dumb and Dumber

Interestingly, I have only seen the first one. I am glad I did!

  • Mortal Kombat

But only because I know how bad the sequels were. Imagine if they were good!

Homeward Bound

Not a fan of "Delilah Chance"? :P

Hmm...I didn't like "Monsters University" nearly as much as the original "Monsters, Inc." and I also am not a fan of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III".

Sorry, but romantic subplots don't solve everything. And following up from the high stakes of the first film was always going to be a difficult ask. Also a city environment was too much of a diversion from the original Incredible Journey.

It was pretty weak, I also didn't like how much of a jerk Jamie (Chance's owner.) was.

Overall it was passable, but it isn't something I would watch a lot like the original Homeward Bound or even "The Incredible Journey" (1963)

which, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey was based off of.

I remember giving up on "The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause" pretty quickly, too.

Independence Day, no doubt. Emmerich should have made ID a one-shot film and that's it, nothing else; he literally had a third film planned. The sequel released in 2016 was absolute disaster. Should have left things as is. Will Smith had good reason to not sign onto the project.

Nevertheless, they were AWESOME! I love me some Tony Stark!

Yeah, RDJ's swagger really carried those movies. They aren't as good as the first but I always have a fun time with them(I actually think 3 is really underappreciated)

Jaws. You can’t improve on what was perfect.

Facts. Jaws 2 wasn't terrible, but far from great, Jaws 3 was stupid schlock, and Jaws 4 is one of the worst films ever made (Though so bad it's good at times).

We really only needed one Jurassic Park movie.

  • Iron Man (I mean Iron Man 2 & 3, not necessarily other MCU movies)

Iron Man really needs a good villain to fight.
