It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you all of the passing of David Prowse, the actor best known for portraying Darth Vader, aged 85.

And to think David Prowse actually thought the line that was going to shock Luke Skywalker's claim that Obi-Wan said Darth Vader killed his father (Anakin Skywalker) was going to be different than the final outcome. David Prowse said during filming as Darth Vader:

"No. Obi-Wan killed your Father"

Only George Lucas, James Earl Jones who actually did the voice for Vader post-filming, and Mark Hamill shortly before the filming knew that the shocking Wham line was going to be, "No, I am your father"

But in all seriousness he did a really good job protraying Vader in the suit in the OT.
