DPBOX 17 Share December 15, 2020 I mean, both places are volcanic regions, so should the Dragonlands from My Little Pony have similar properties to Death Mountain from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, namely the super, SUPER high heat to the point where thermometers and temperature detecting spells will fail to get the temperature and the fact that food will instantly start cooking, wood and other flammable materials will start combusting, and explosives will instantly go off? Do you think non dragons will need fire protection such as a fireproof elixir or the effects of a fire protection spell in order to go to the Dragonlands?

We've already seen in two separate episodes where Rainbow Dash went with Spike (Shadow Play part 1) and Twilight sparkle and Rarity went to the Dragon Land with Spike to Dragonlands (Gauntlet of Fire) and none of them actually wore any armor. In all cases as long as you're not touching the lava you can get close to it without burning or combustion. Convection Schmonvection is what TV Tropes calls it
 Badges

Right? Look if they didn't state it directly in the show that's going to be hard to prove. After all they did establish that non-Pegasus ponies normally can't walk on clouds. Twilight first found a spell that gave Rarity butterfly wings so she can fly but then found an easier spell that allows non-ponies to walk on clouds temporarily. Beside I think it's refreshing when just because something looks similar doesn't mean it has to follow all the same rules to the other subject
 Badges
Goat-kun 2,207 Share December 15, 2020 You expect a bunch of Karens to understand volcanic activity and then present it in a fun, bombastic manner befitting of a cartoon? Bruh.
 Badges
Happy Heart 89 Share December 15, 2020 (That would be a different comparison. @Will Guide might be right, though. Non dragon creatures don't necessarily have to wear extra protection when in the Dragonlands. However, I'm sure there may be areas where heat can become too much for your average creature to handle; such as a cave with several magma pools that condenses superheated temperatures. It'd be the same on a real life volcano. Really, I think the Dragonlands compare more to Metroid's Norfair than Death Mountain, to be honest. Superheated rooms in the deepest regions of the place.) Orcus on His Throne 18,534 Share December 15, 2020 Not to mention how both Dragons and Gorons (who live at Death Mountain) are lavaproof.
 Badges
