Since it seems there are more people playing this game I'm just gonna go ahead and create a thread where you can discuss comps, strats, story, organize your co-ops with your fellow Bronies, or share your frustration with the resin and lootbox systems. Enjoy.

I just got started with the game about last Oct. It's pretty fun and pretty good for a free mobile/ps4 games. I guess my only issues with the game is, almost everything involves with wishes. You get characters, weapons from wishes. I don't mind it much, but I hate the fact we have to unlock constellations through wishes.. but you know? they gonna make money and you the player, gonna choose to gamble for it or not.

EH I hate that it's lootboxes crap. Just I get it rng is awesome but not when you're on a budget.

Yup, lootboxes are indeed dog feces. I am not going to spend a full game price of 60$ on a wheel of fortune made in Chyna. Thus I'm running this thing like WINrar, and I'm sure that whales who are burning full paychecks on banners more than compensate for my lack of investment.

One must understand that gacha games play like a casino. The house always wins. The only way how you can win is by playing with what you have, so no matter what four star article you get you always win since it only serves to expand your options. I played through the entire campaign with Amber Barbara Kaeya Beidou comp and it turned out just fine.

I discovered this game because my friend streams it. Looks like a lot of lootboxes (big surprise :eww:). I haven't been big on these free-to-play games that get you with the lootboxes but this game actually looks really fun. Maybe I'll give it a try.

You can play with guaranteed characters. Is it pay-2-win? Yes, but you can do all the content with what meta snobs regard as trash characters. If you boil it down this game is a casual open world Breath of the Waifu for many platforms. I'd take this over an AAA console exclusive any day of the week.

Just be careful cause a gacha game is still a gacha game. Don't spend more than you would on you average game. After you finish all the quests and roll all the wishes, you're left with more characters than you're able to level. If you let F2P flow through you and realize that you won't get all the new top tier characters and items, then the game can be quite fun. And don't worry about one time exclusive deals. All characters come back eventually. Nothing is one time exclusive.

The biggest problem is the resin system. If you want leveling material you need to go on certain quests where rewards cost resin. You can only have max 160 resin that slowly regenerates throughout the 24h cycle, and the quests cost 20-60 resin. That means you cannot even upgrade one character per day. It also means the game incentivizes you to play every day. It's an annoying system. The good news is that timed events won't cost resin anymore. The bad news is that it looks like this mechanic is going to stay.

My brother is crazy about that game. I’m not too fond of free to play. Had experiences with some like the Gameloft pony game, and Fire Emblem Heroes. I wasn’t planning on playing Dragalia Lost, only did so as soon as I found out they are dubbed by pastel horses :mlp_icwudt:

The Ruinous Powers have granted me Diona. I, a filthy F2P player, am now in possession of each and every four star character in the game. Let's see how much I can amplify physical damage with Diona Bennet Xinyan Razor team. Everyone is saying how Bennet is the best support but his healing is pretty shit. It's an ult, you can only heal up to 70% HP, and the character you need to heal must be on the field inside a specific radius. It's inflexible, especially for F2P that can't just burst high level bosses with five star gear in time of its duration. But while one such support ult is lackluster, two can achieve satisfactory results. Popping Diona ult won't only heal but allow Razor to get superconduc elemental reaction that reduces physical resistance. But why burn a perfectly good ult when she can just cast her barrier or basic attack. Then Bennet ult will give attack bonus, and Xinyan barrier will increase physical damage by 15%. It could destroy. It could be a flop. I'll have to farm leveling materials to find out which is part of the magic. I feel like a waifu trainer and I wanna be the very best like no one ever was. To roll them all is my real test, to train them is my cause ...

In other news, I've breached the AR45 barrier and I feel slowish again. Enemies are just a bit harder and my stamina is going down fast, but I was using Barbara a lot so there's that. Now that I have Sucrose I should probably test that double Anemo strat for mage carries.

And yes, I am talking in old school moba slang. It's easy and universal.

Also, Xinyan can become quite useful both as support and carry. She's underrated.

As far as gacha games go, there are worse ones than Genshin Impact. However Genshin doesn't have an auto-grinding function like other games, which means you have to do everything by hand and it's really tiring. Unless you literally have 0 life and can sit on this game for as much time as needed, you're gonna have to shell out money to progress meaningfully. There are much more forgiving and generous gacha games out there like KOFAS and Guardian Tales, that give you a lot more for your time. Granted, the gameplay is really good, I just wish I had access to all the gameplay.

Made me broke with moras, primogems, artifacts and many ascension items. He’s literally the only five stars I think that requires so much to build him strong as a five star worthy. Even most of my fours stars aren’t as needy as him and still stronger. I recently try to pull a four star bow, The Stringless, a second best weapon for him. No luck. And wasted all my primogems :scoots:

It's to be expected from a gacha game, but what this game does well is have 4 star characters that can match the 5 stars even if you don;t have max 4 star constellations. So really you don;t need to do as many wishes as you may think.

People want max constellations but the way i see it, once you get max, any more duplicates would be wasted, so i would rather i got a couple of constellations on many characters as opposed to maxing out one or two.

Actually if you pull on every banner, getting every 4 star character as f2p is pretty within reach.

As for bennet, he's a great support because of the whole package. He heals quite a bit, attack buffs and is fire element so even building him DPS means that he'll be pretty strong. That being said, you would need decent gear from him to be an all-rounder.

The field may seem limiting, but actually a lot of supports require you to stay within a field. But considering that a lot of the smaller enemies follow you while the larger enemies are pretty slow moving, I find that keeping people within the field isn;t actually that hard

Indeed, I have obtained these characters only through casual gameplay, so I guess the RNG system is pretty forgiving when it comes to four star content.

Creeps tend to walk out of Bennet ult even if I throw it down within their original spawn area. The same goes with the non-stationary bosses. You'll get dodged, then your fielded char is going to be eating damage and there's no chance you can heal them off the field. Maybe if you are running a shield comp. Me, I'd use Bennet as a walking lighter and a Broodmother ult for regisvines, or if you are running a hydro-cryo comp. So the logic is a bit different than when using someone like Barbara or Noelle. You use them if you need to heal a character. You use Bennet for the buff and so that you don't lose HP while attacking. If your character is already low for one reason or another you'll be having a hard time bringing them back up with Bennet if the enemy is still there throwing their shit at you. And you can still use Barbara the same way, but you can actually move around.

I don't actually have a main party. Use a different one for every dungeon. I purposefully didn't focus on a specific team so I win every time I roll my wishes Four star character- good. Four star weapon- good. Five star character- gooood! Trash to some is new content for me.

I guess that's fair. I think if you had someone to group enemies, such as Venti, that would be really helpful.

In terms of the having a hard time to bring someone back up with Bennet if they are already low and are being attacked, it's a trade-off. Barbara and Noelle have quite slow heals compared to Bennet. For example when in the field, the character heals up per second as opposed to Barbara's ring that heals you every few seconds. For Noelle, there's a 50% chance to heal per hit when you have your shield up, but because there's a chance, it isn;t as consistent as Bennet's heal. Furthermore for Noelle, that involved you attacking with her, which may lose you seconds of DPS that you're main damage dealer could have dealt. Bennet however can place down the field and can immediately be swapped out (unless it is Bennet himself that needs to heal). Bennet's heals are actually really good compared to other 4 star healers, but the fact that it only goes up to 70% health limits him.

Exactly. Bennet is very good if you can sit there and dish out damage. In fact, he's probably the best support for such a tactic. That's why I want to test him with Xinyan and Razor. I want to see just how much damage Wolf Boy can pump out with their buffs. But if you have an opponent that moves around and has big ranged attacks with aoe, you are a bit screwed. I would not go against Oceanid with Bennet, or against Childe.

Noelle is another character that is not necessarily underrated, just misunderstood. She protects, but she also attacks, and she not only scales off of the most common artifact stat in the game, her ult also has a great range and a 100% heal probability with C1. Who doesn't have C1 Noelle? And any elemental reaction will drop a shield crystal during her ult since it's geo damage. So when you have a low character and you switch to Noelle with both of her abilities active, you know you will survive. She's a tanky support bruiser that resets a fight and turns it into your favor.

With Barbara, you have her ult that heals everybody, but her basic ability can be used the same preemptive way in order not to lose that many HP in a fight. And her C2 gives +15% hydro damage.  She might not give as much heal and her buff is very content and situation dependent, but you can do your dance. If your main damage comes from a ranged character, she's probably the best healer for you.

And thus I am one roll away from C6 Xingqiu. This sissy Guhua adept is a support god that works perfectly with Razor. I've also added Diona for superconduct, healing and shield. Plus she's an archer and I like to have an archer on my world-roaming parties. Some things can only be solved with a ranged attack. Last but not least there's Bennett. He has a consistent pyro skill and his ultimate is great for destroying slow, large foes in combination with Razor dps.

Still need a second dps character for the higher level Abyss stuff, so I've finally decided to level up Keqing, the other reason being that she's the only sword user I have where Aquila Favonia makes sense.

Farming it is. Experience books will be the worst. Then Mora. Now, one can farm gold from ley lines, but I do encourage all to check if they have some Anemo/Geo sigils to spare in their inventory. Once you have bought all the stuff from sigil shops (diamond icon) you can still exchange the sigils you get from chests for Mora. This adds a grander purpose to the chest hunting, and if you're already gathering materials, you might as well be pressing that chest compass button.

I agree with this theory. Dainslief seems to know way too much and has a sparkly cape to boot, so he might had just as well been our sibling's mascot/traveling companion. But does that mean our Emergency Food is gonna evolve into Main Course if we feed her enough sweet honey roasts and fisherman's toasts? And how are these two connected to the unnamed goddess? Someone's definitely having fun with the worldbuilding.

Got the golden one to fuel my delusion. Got Stringless, Sacrificial Bow, and Aquila Favonia, but now I've used up all my luck for a while. Not that I'll need it since it's all farming from here on out. Ascending waifus form 0 to 90 is hard. Could use more constellations on my 4-stars, but the game has apparently decided that my armory is way too empty and is throwing weapons at me.

Both Kaeya and Dainslief share the Khaenri'ah/Abyss eye design with diamond-shaped pupils, so it is unlikely for Dain to be connected to Fatui in such a direct manner. All stairs and questions lead down to Khaenri'ah.
