Long story short, a cryptid of some size and malice killed my entire family. My grandfather (who had passed before this happened), was a member, I took his gear from the attic and made my way to the city to look for the Foundation. I would have died in the snow if a hunter hadn't found me. He took me to the organization and they took me in and became like a second family to me.
