Kentaro Miura, creator of iconic manga Berserk, dies at 54

The artist, who died of acute aortic dissection, had a large pop culture influence via his long-running saga about a sword-wielding mercenary.

I remember reading about Author Existence Failure trope on TVTropes, which is basically authors of works dying before finishing a project. I remember reading an entry years ago about Miura, still alive, stating fans of Berserk are constantly afraid he would die before the manga’s end. I’m bitterly not surprised it was prophetic .

This was sad to hear. Berserk has some of the most wild art I've ever seen. RIP to a talented man.
