The G5 movie is PG

Kind of expected it since G4 was also PG. Can't really go back to aiming for G when you already know the material your audience expects.

The 2017 was also rated PG, so at least we can expect something a little dark or mature after the blueprint G4 left behind.

I'm really happy to hear the movie is PG. It means there will be some level of real conflict, even if it's just ideological and less physical. If it was G, I might have been more worried about the movie being lacking in character development and theme. And I think it's pretty obvious that the movie would never be rated PG-13. It is My Little Pony after all.
