Affordable neat pony products

Hey guys,

 

so I personally don’t like most of the pony products that I have seen so far because of their lack of quality or resemblance with the show. However, I am very interested in buying pony merch. Now I know you can buy qualitatively amazing plushs for a few hundred euros/dollars, but that’s just too much money for me to spend on that. So over the past months (I am new to the show and fandom) I have found some small neat pony things on the internet, mainly made by amateurs, like keychains, pins and other affordable stuff like that. The sheer amount of the other merch is so huge though, that it is very hard for me to find those gems. They are like needles in a haystack.

Here is my question then: Do you have any recommendations regarding affordable (let’s say under 100€) g4 pony merch (official or not) like that (that resembles the show or is qualitatively good) – it doesn’t matter what it is, be it keychains, pins, games, figures, books, comics, cards, (or websites on which they sell such things – e.g. I found a lot of them on etsy) etc. 

I would very much appreciate any good recommendation as I really love the show.

Hiya! Good quality AND low price on a product is, as you mentioned, STUPIDLY hard to come by especially with pony stuff, but my biggest suggestion is checking discount stores for any leftover Guardians of Harmony toys if you're looking for semi-show accurate toys at a good price.

In terms of unofficial stuff, if custom prices are too steep for your budget, OlyFactory does some pretty good knockoff plushies of a LOTTT of popular pones at good prices, though I'm not too sure of the general quality of them (and there's been a huge decline in listings for their stuff in the last few years). The pictures at the very least look nice and I've heard good things from the odd forum user who has purchased one!

Cons are also great for unofficial merch once they open up again; ponies are common to find in Artists' Alleys, and often artists just finding their feet in terms of profiting off of their product will slash their prices to ensure publicity.

Thank you very much for the answer – I really appreciate it! These plushs from Olyfactory are, judging by the photos, the best looking plushs in that price range that I have seen. Some of their figures also look more like the actual characters in the show! The Guardians of Harmony figures (and also the Funko Vinyl figures) have sparked my interest for quite a few weeks now. All of these things are exactly the types of suggestions that I had asked for here.

Regarding Cons – there is probably gonna be a Con in my area in Germany next year (which I did not expect at all). So I’ll probably try and go there to see what they have!

I’m now gonna post some of the neat affordable pony stuff that I have found and bought over the past weeks, in case someone has a similar problem as me. There’s a picture attached.

And then there are some fake tattoos, for when you want to mess with people by making them think you got an actual pony tattoo. (They were on Amazon, but I can not find them right now.)
