I have a very commoner choice and that is...Black Pepper! Honestly you can't go wrong with it. Goes so well on so many foods. It is the multi-tool of the pepper family.

But seriously, I am not that big fan of spicy food. So, I usually prefer the more mild variants. Oh, and there are some peppers here in german stores filled with cream cheese which I really like to eat. But I don't know which pepper sort this is.

Cayenne all the way.  Tragically, it's almost impossible to find fresh cayennes.  All you can find is cayenne pepper, as in the dry powder, but not peppers, as in the whole fruit.  I've never found any in a store.  You basically have to grow them yourself.  Failing that, serranos work in a pinch.

Jalapenos for sure, especially the pickled kind! I used to always have a jar in the house. Nowadays I mostly eat them when I get a kebab or a pizza or something, still as delicious as ever though! Jalapeno Tobasco sauce is also insanely delicious
