Name a new OC

I need help naming a new oc.  They are in the past before Celestia and Luna.  They are an earth pony.  Don't know about colors yet.  I do know he is an earth pony with a personality between Newt Schemander and Steve Irwin with a love of all creatures and a want to make a guide to discover about all kinds and be super excited to talk about creatures while being a bit socially awkward otherwise.  His family is kind of Amish in the old fashioned way so his name could be changed from a different one somehow?  I'm stuck.  Any ideas?
