technical issue Cannot add links to PMs

Every time I paste a link to a PM, I receive this notification:

”The link could not be embedded because of an unexpected error: error: "The CSRF protection key did not match. This may indicate a plugin or theme is out of date. Please contact technical support for more information”.

It doesn’t matter what the link is of: directly pasted website link or attaching a photo via link from an image hosting site.

Side note: I have tried various random website links to test this, none have worked. I have also tried various image hosting sites, none have worked.

Could be the hyperlink program is broken and needs to be reprogrammed if its not working like that?
