I need feedback for a logo I'm working on for an upcoming project related to MLP. Do you have ideas to improve it?

I'm working right now on the logo of the title of my upcoming project related to My Little Pony. I've adjusted a couple of things for my first logo and this is how it looks so far.

And here's the second logo (done some days later).

Keep in mind this:

1. These are JPG files. I don't have a problem sharing this in a more appropiated format, I just wanted something quick.
2. Each logo is not the final result. I might end up taking away the stars from the first logo and I'll refine it.

Any tips to make it as appealing as possible? I'm going to check out other logotypes for moer references, but I'd like to know your thoughts.
