"We're going deep underground," Mr. F said, "It's to ensure secrecy. Plus, even if you were able to smuggle some communication device in, it couldn't possibly connect through the ground. The floor level continued going up, and the speed rising and slowing at different times.

Charlie leaned against the wall of the large elevator and said out of nowhere, "One of my friends died in an elevator."

Zach shuffled into the elevator, not paying much attention to anyone. Then he noticed the screen Charlie asked about. He heard what Mr. F said and realized how the numbers together looked like 666. Creepy...

The rest of the ride was mostly quiet, and when the floor level reached 99, the elevator stopped.

The group stepped put of it. There was a long, white hallway. Once they reached a fork, Frensique said, "Sidworth, take the applicants to the right, to the room."

One of the followers, who was the man in a guard uniform, nodded and said, "Right this way, please," as he led the group. Eventually they reached a door. "Step inside and good luck," Sidworth said.

The group stepped inside. Right after you open the door, there were stairs with no rails. They were white. The entire room was white, including the six chairs and table in the place. The group carefully walked down the short stairs.

Katie entered the warehouse willingly. When asked to give up her communication devices, she reluctantly gave up her two cell phones. A guard came over and patted her down, and she could've sworn he had been feeling up her breasts.

They then walked into an elevator. It was a small one, but it reached the bottom floor quickly. They were then led to an all white room, which freaked her about a bit. "Why white?" She asked.

After Sidworth left, Charles walked over to a chair, and sat in it. After the group walked around the room, Katie asked to no one in particular, "Why white?"

Expecting no answer, no one paid attention to it, until a microphone popped. "Well," the microphone said, with Mr. Frensique's voice, "Everything that is white is coated with an almost microscopic layer of a sanitized mix. Almost like hand sanitizer, but made especially for buildings. However, you're not able to feel it, or touch it with your bare hands. It's complicated."

Charles shrugged it off. "So what do we do now?" he asked.

The microphone popped again, "Actually, I'll explain that. I-I'm Scotersfield, the man in the lab coat. First we'll pull you through a series of tests. Testing your tolerance, anger, sanity, and a few other small things."

Randal kept his calm demeanor and said,

"First thing about this...Brandon, is it? If they're really going to check our sanity, then freaking out isn't giving you high marks."

Brandon glared at Randal and approached him, "There's a difference between freaking out and simply not liking the way things sound. Oh I'm definitely doing these tests, you can count on that 'pal'." he said as he stared daggers at him.

"Testing your tolerance, anger, sanity, and a few other small things." Zach didn't like the way that sounded. He would probably not do very well in any of the tests they have planned.

Brandon glared at Randal but then sighed and went to a seat, "Whatever" he muttered. He didn't like being hostile, but living on th streets gave him that as a disguise. Best to not show anyone your true colors, less chance of being hurt that way

"We are ready to start," Scotersfield's voice said, "In three, two, one."

An almost ear-splitting buzz was played.

It was horribly loud, and it was constant.

Just a loud, constant, annoying buzzing.

On the table, six buttons in front of each chair popped up, you were to press one once you could no longer tolerate the buzzing.

The loud buzzing shocked Charles. It came out of nowhere. He turned around in his seat, and noticed a large, red button. He assumed the obvious: one button for each person.

What did that guy say before? Tolerance? This must be the tolerance test. Apparently you hit the button if you couldn't stand it.

The buzzing was still going on, numbing your ears. You had to scream to be just barely heard at all.

Randal jumped as a loud sound played around the room. The hell were they doing? Luckily, Randal had listened to Hand of God before, so loud static sounds were nothing new to him.

Katie fell to the floor when she heard the sound that nearly made her ears explode. Tolerance, She thought, I'm not gonna let myself lose a competition. She got back up onto her chair and tried to ignore the sound, which is near impossible.

Brandon scowled at the noise, but grit his teeth and stayed where he was. He listened to music at volumes that would deafen a person on a normal basis, so it should be easy. He shut his eyes tight as the noise continued.
