Is the My Little Pony franchise as a whole too big to fail?

It's a big part of our culture universally, not just in the west anymore, there are children of every nationality, little communist pony lovers just like us in the west, it belongs to Hasbro and they are one of the largest most prominent toy creators in the world, the franchise may stumble in transition in the future trying to find an appropriate identity for the modern audiences, a lot of jaded delusional g.4 hype bronies will critique anything they perceive to be a failure because the franchise isn't capturing the charm and presence that it did in Faust's marvelous interpretation of the show, but g.4 is just part of a developing legacy, we are approaching the 40 year anniversary, it's succeeding not just has succeeded. But when reality hits there are a lot more children to appeal to across the globe generally speaking than adults that love cartoon and toy ponies, let alone adults that like cartoons at all, we can't be upset about Hasbro doing what's best for the franchise, I love g.5 and I'm so fortunate I found FiM it's introduced me to all kinds of pony content I love, but just bc a nostalgia Faust goggles hype brony g.4 purist calls something a fail bc writers weren't thinking about him in specific it definitely does not mean it is...

Any franchise has the power to become irrelevant. It all just depends on how well the property is handled. Afaik, MLP is still one of Hasbro's to franchises(along with Transformers and Power Rangers)

Just echoing what @Props ValRoa said, nothing is too big to fail. YouTube, given time, will eventually come to an end. The USA will fall. The sun itself will burn out just like countless other stars. Humanity will come to an end. Oh right, I'm getting too deep.

So yes, the MLP franchise as a whole is not too big to fail because nothing is.
