MLP 40th anniversary

I’m posting this here because it was teased there will be a surprise for the franchise’s upcoming 40th anniversary

I’m curious what it would be. I don’t think it’s going to be a Slice of Life-style episode. G5 is still pretty underdeveloped, and young to have such an episode. Maybe it’ll have some bigger development and tie-in with FIM. However, I think it’s too soon for that as well.
 

Could it be a crossover with Equestria Girls ? It isn’t too far fetched compared to my other suggestions. They could make a meaningful crossover that will, at most, build up with the eventual plot twist with G4, without any immediate long lasting impact towards G5, as nothing coming from EG affected FIM in any way. Also, there’s apparently a leaked picture of Sunset Shimmer in 3D  (she looked rather ugly, however )
