Japanese g1 Takara ponies- potential for a reboot

So I discovered that the retro Tom & Jerry cartoon got a Japanese remake the other day, and got to thinking about the “what if’s” If the “anime” treatment was given to the MLP G1 Takara ponies, since they never really got any sort of series or long term toy release in Japan? Especially since anime now is so mainstream… How would you guys feel if the Takaras were given a full blown anime in modern times? Would the toys that accompany them sell well? Would they get a full blown redesign? 
What sort of things would you like to see for modern day Takara ponies?

 

side note: I’ve done a ton of stylized and redesigned/reimagined Takara art through the years, mostly anthro, but I honestly think- like some g1 fans- that the Takara design might be better and more accepted if they looked more like ponies- which could be done if they were given a reimagined reboot in modern times- what do you guys think?
