gaming Doom 3 and Editions

For those who have played, what is your opinion on it? Doom 3, BFG Edition, and RoE (Rise of Evil). Personally from playing it I think the scenery is marvelously done along with the jump scares in certain areas. Although in some areas it’s quiet easy to get a little lost. (Sorry if this is an old topic…I just got bored)

Doom 3 is really a hit and miss to me. Before it was released, the tech demo got leaked at it was really good for its time. The monsters are really well designed, the maps though too forced to follow a path look really high quality. It’s a little bit too dark, which doesn’t make it scary but more annoying. The scripted story is a nice touch but it together with the forced path makes the game feel too strict and long and repetitive. The final game was not as good as I had hoped.
