"Friendship Melody - Winter Wrap Up" is a Forum Event, that will feature a rhythm browser game playable on MLP Forums.

 

INTRODUCTION

Winter on MLP Forums never ends, or does it? Perhaps with a little bit of work, together we'll be able to wrap up Winter and bring in Spring! It's better late than never!

START - 2023/05/1 20:00 (UTC+2)

CONCLUSION - 2023/05/14 20:00 (UTC+2)

EVENT RULES

Take part in the event by playing the game available for limited time. Share your score in the event topic to receive an Achievement! To do so, attach a screenshot or eventually, a photo of screen to your reply.

POSSIBLE QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE IN MIND

Q: Do I have to download the game?

A: No, you can play it in your browser here on MLP Forums. If your data transfer is limited, keep in mind the game will have to load around 20MB of files.

Q: Can I play on phone?

A: Generally, yes. The game does support touch screens. My only concern is the performance on inexpensive phones. I have such device and it was playable, to say the least. At dramatically low framerate the game might crash.

Q: I'm not good at rhythm games, will that be a problem?

A: Not at all. There's no score requirement to receive the badge, everyone's input is appreciated equally. Just share your results once, with any score, and that's enough to successfully participate in the event, so take it easy and have fun.

 

DISCLAIMER

This is my very first browser game ever. While I'm not new to game development, working in this environment was definitely a new experience for me. I did my best to make everything alright, but this is my first try at this, so I cannot guarantee an error-free experience, for which I am sorry in advance.

Whether there will be more events featuring browser games, partially depends on how this event will be received.

Sure, sure. 

I programmed the game to detect if the player will be you, so that you'll get tons of unfair stuff. (Now that I think of it, I actually could easily program it to do exactly this HMMMM )
