My compulsive shops of this month are done. Chess and checkers, Chinesse chess, Go, Domino, Hnefatafl (viking chess) and Awalé (an african game).

Classic Tabletop Games! Now I find those classic tabletop games very relaxing.

Purchased a Yamaha PM5X mute ("Silent Brass") for trombone.

Basically lets you play your instrument without generating as much if any noise for your adjacent neighbors :nom:. (Yes I technically could just play in my room, but...)

I bought an insulated drink bottle to keep a supply of coffee when I was recently on the road out of state, and a hairbrush, which I forgot to pack for the trip. I also made a small donation for a rose touched to a relic of St. Therese, as part of her recent feast day celebrations.

Bought another throttle quadrant for my flight simulator, so now I can directly control 2 engines separately. Was on the edge for a while and it was discounted off. Decided to buy it the moment I had trouble toggling between engines during startup.

Only concern is this particular quadrant (Saitek) has occasional issues with the "potentiometers" (the part that takes lever deflection and outputs this to the sim), so I'll have to be careful using each.

I bought a leather billfold to replace the brand new one that got destroyed during a recent trip I took. I like quality leather products and I can’t resist good craftsmanship. And it was only ten bucks!

Sounds like you're going to be having a lot of fun painting soon! I'd love to see the results when you're finished!

I have another topic where I post my drawings, it's here if you're interested:

At the beginning of the topic the pictures are not very good, but later they get better.

Truly nice stuff, @ComanderZhabikKlavik I like your other drawings too, and you’re right, they get even better as you go along. You have a good sense of lighting, which is one of the most important things in good art. Very well done indeed! :P

I just got a Restnature eye massager. It’s a face mask that plays music, massages your face and head, and applies soothing heat. It’s absolutely magical and I love this thing! Four years ago I would have married it. :izzy-shine:

I changed the chess I bought in Amazon from one made in Poland. Elegant, sturdy and good quality in relation with the price.

And my personal deluxe Chinese Chess.

No more buying things until Next year...IMG-20241030-WA0000.thumb.jpeg.233655474e63e290f195c23f5dfc4d57.jpegIMG-20241030-WA0002.thumb.jpeg.f765e4be4a40e385fbbd772cbc9d5bb8.jpegIMG-20241030-WA0006.thumb.jpeg.ea86864db87bd3c6de68d078a8abea58.jpegIMG-20241030-WA0008.thumb.jpeg.a01a2a5cd43f0c8392e92dfe5105b1a5.jpeg
