***The Scale of the Universe***

I'm taking an astronomy course this semester and we spent almost two whole classes just on dealing with the great size of the cosmos. According to my professor, when you compare it to one of the smallest things we can possibly understand, an electron, the universe is about 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times bigger. That's 44 zeroes. Our universe is truly amazing. I think to some degree though, each of us is significant in the universe, if only because we are the speck that can understand the other specks.
