gaming Monster hunter/brony overlap

The questions are simple. I rarely see the series mentioned on this forum so I ask:

 

Who knows (and has played) a game in the monster hunter series?

Also, which games have you played? and do you still play them?

 

 

 

Myself? I've bought "Freedom Unite!" and Imported "Portable 3rd".

On Freedom Unite! I've cleared all but four of the single player quests made it to Hun-R 8 with my friend before deciding we were going to play the newer and improved game.

 

In Portable 3rd I've made it to the highest Hun-R rank, (mostly due to this game being much easier than the previous one,) and I've cleared all but one of the single player quests.

 

I've tried to go back to Freedom Unite! for a while but I found that the new game has spoiled me and I can't for the life of me complete any of the challenging quests.

 

Eventhough I own a UMD copy of Portable 3rd, I prefer to play the English translation hack due to faster loading times, the fact that I can then actually read what the game offers me, and the fact that with my current recording setup I cannot record from UMDs.

It is the only reason why I would get a PSP/Vita. So right now I am waiting for the PSP to drop in price, and get Freedom United!
