MLP Fantasy Football League Discussion

Since we're less than three months left of the NFL season, I've decided to make this thread to discuss a possible MLP Fantasy Football League, exclusively for this forum.

 

CBSSports.com is available to create a league right away, but I need suggestions on how we should set this league up. That means, finding the right time to setup the perfect date for the draft, so there won't be any interference for those are still in high school or going to college, finding the people on here that are experienced in knowing how to play this fantasy sport, those who commit to play for a full season and those who show up in the draft on time.

 

We need to discuss this in advance so we're all be ready for the upcoming season.

Ah well. Fantasy Football is something that I go all out in. Also, I recommend offline draft because times are too hard to coordinate, and we could do it right on the forums! (Another reason to do NFL.) I could actually set it up like right now if you wanted.

 

Also, anything about outside help? My friend and I typically do it together other than the league we compete against each other in (He always wins.)

I vote for using ESPN when the time comes because I'm most familiar with their system.

 

And the draft should be at most 2 weeks before week 1.

Yeah, you and I know about injury horrors. Who can forget The Matt Cassel Experience and then Stafford just had his first legitimate rookie season last year.

Ok, since we're going with ESPN for this league, maybe I should suggest the best date to do the draft. I'm thinking the time between 7:00-9:00 PM ET would be the perfect time to do the draft. Now for the date, should we do the live draft around late July or early August?

Mid-August, sometime around the 14th-18th, which is around week 2 of preseason that way everyone has a good idea who's injured, where certain players are going to be on their teams' depth charts, and because nothing else important goes on in August lol

August 15th would be the perfect scenario to host the draft because it'll be around the middle of the week. Can't do it around Friday or Saturday, I usually go over my brother's house and spend time with him and the family.

 

I also haven't mentioned this, but this league is invite only. This is for everybody who understands and knows how to play fantasy football, which is why I wanted to make these leagues successful without a few people who lack the knowledge of this fantasy sport.

 

I figure this is the best time to start this league already, now that we're more than a month away from the NFL season. This league will be a 10-man league. The draft is on August 15th at 8:00 ET at ESPN.com. If you want to join this league, I'll send you the password via e-mail. You MUST know how to play fantasy football to join this league.
