His stomach growled loudly just then at the mention of the food, he grinned sheepishly "And that means ah approve of the breakfast" he said jokingly. Strong Hooves 289 Posted June 27, 2012 Share Posted June 27, 2012 When Vinyl spoke of her father, he sensed there was something a little more about it that she wouldn't talk about, perhaps her past wasn't do different from his and Timbers. He decided to not push the matter though "Ah understand, ain't mah place ta make ya tell me somethin ya don't wanna talk about." he then decided he wanted to get to know Vinyl better, so he tried to make idle conversation, "So Uhh... I needed to get away from here for a while, so I started roaming Equestria with my, at the time, mediocre sound system, trying to earn some money. When that didn't work out I came back here and met Octavia, she understood my situation and let me move in. What about y'all? What's your story?" Our parents died when we were young and we got separated by foal services. Ah lived with mah grandparents fer quite a while. When they died ah ended up selling' the farm and went lookin fer Timber. My father was a pretty famous musician, and my mom, a cook. They died when I was six, and even so, no foal services cared about me. So I took all the money and musical equipment and took off to play for anypony who would listen. It didn't get me too far, so I came back to Ponyville and moved in with Octavia and her family. "Did I interrupt something? I can leave you two alone if you want!" Timber was so excited for her brother she couldn't help but blurt out whatever came to her mind. She quickly ate her breakfast and turned to Six. "I was thinking we could check out the venue today, I think we're supposed to meet the organizer or somepony like that." "I havn't even thought about a manager... um, yeah, sure." Timber said this passively to make sure she didnt give up any ground. Timber also realized she hadn't even ever heard Vinyl music, and maybe she wasn't so bad, Six was fond of her so Timber would give her a chance. Timber blared, "and Vinyl I know this sounds odd of me, but.... but I think I find some value in electronic music." Timber's voice reached a whisper near the conclusion of the sentence. When the dj waved over Timber and WINKED at her, his protective instincts immediately kicked in, and he began giving the dj a death glare. "Nah, we don't know him. She came back toting a square sound system, that, when she stood on her hind legs, came up to her chest. "You might want to cover your ears for this," she warned her friends. She flipped it on and turned the dial down, the machine opened up and started playing. It knocked the rival DJ, and his equipment, back about 15 feet. She turned it off and shouted, "And there's more power where that came from!" She could tell Six and Timber were impressed by the relatively small contraption. "Sorry Miss Vinyl," he began. "I don't know what came over me. I'm a terrible DJ and a terrible Neighbor," he said before walking home with his head held low.
