Hiding forums from the "Recent Posts" sidebar hook

I want an option to block certain threads/sections from appearing in my post feed (the new one on the main forums page). I find certain threads unsightly and lowly for a fine gentleman such as myself, and would much prefer it if they burned in the hell of obscurity. That is all, good day.

You can minimize it, and that should be well enough. I, however like the new feature, and I feel it's these little things that make it feel as though we are progressing, and encourage users into posting and staying active.

I don't think it's currently possible to be selective of which forum sections the post feed shows,

However such a feature could be added with a little coding .

Which forums appear in the hook can only be controlled by an admin, and applies to all users. The hook isn't designed to let users what to put in it. You can achieve a similar effect by going to the "View New Content" page and filtering out the forums you don't want to see, however. Shows you a lot more content, anyway.

 

On a side note, it sounds like something hasn't been reported that should've been...
