I was wondering, as of recent I've been feeling pretty fantastic. Yet, for some reason, everything seems so...so average. So mediocre. Nothing special. I can't think of a single thing that still excites me. Now this is probably a passing phase but a thought struck me, what if getting that high (not drug high, but just high in general. I dunno. Can't particularly describe it) just makes everything else so boring once you came back.

 

What if I'll never think anything is even minutely amazing, because it would never compare to that high I felt. Now this is pretty unlikely and I don't actually feel this way. But what if that was the case?

 

Would you experience that one amazing feeling for a life time of mediocrity

or

would you rather live a so and so life, being happy enough, never being insanely happy?

 

P.S: Phase gone. As happy go lucky as ever now.

I usually try to fond small bliss in tiny things, such as:

 

 

· When my sister and I sing to Justin Bieber’s “Love Me” in the car just to annoy

· Eating ice cream for breakfast one Comic Con Thursday

· Chilling at the Jack-In-The-Box after a long hard day of Comic Con

· The warmth of my clothing when they come out of the drying machine

· How fluffy my pillows feel after a tiring day

· Singing to myself and notice someone is listening too

· Riding in a whole roller coaster wagon filled with friends

· The first bite I take from a fresh baked piece of bread

· Watching childhood cartoons on Youtube

· Remembering quotes from ages ago that still make me laugh

· Savoring the last bit of my chocolate bar

· Waking up to the scent of homemade waffles and bacon

· Stargazing with my dad

· Forgetting bad things when I notice a shooting star

· Wishing at 11:11

· Watching a marshmallow-eating contest between friends

· Playing (and losing) UNO with my loved ones

· Arguing about worst-case-scenario solutions with someone younger than me

· Ballroom-dancing with a partner

· Having an inside joke among close friends

· Being picked up when I get hugged

· Watching Disney movies with a kid’s snack

· Secretly putting on my prom dress again just to feel like royalty

· Taking the first whiff of a baked good as it sits in the oven

· Finding Waldo

· Noticing someone is eyeing me and quickly averts their gaze

· Being the only one to ace a test

· Getting free stuff just for being nice

· Being the only woman in a kitchen of men and STILL be treated like a lady

· Watching a person’s face light up when I say hello to them

· Getting paid for doing something I love

· Dancing alone under the stars

· Dancing in the rain (specifically a lightning/rain storm)

· Letting a guy pay my food because “that’s what gentlemen do”.

· When a little kid pretends I’m his mommy

· Watching lightning light the sky

· The soothing sound of rain falling and the smell of damp earth

 

Silly silly things :3 But they make me happy~

Yeah, nothing has really excited me much for, well, months now. Everything that had the potential to be great was meh, so I guess I just sort of lost my feelings of excitement for something because it never ends well recently.

I'm in a perpetual state of contentment, myself. I'm not usually happy like Pinkie Pie happy, in fact, I usually have a blank expression cause I'm not a very expressional pony. But nevertheless, rambling aside, I know that feel of mehness. I get it myself when things become dull. But moods are fickle, they come and go like the weather. There are ways of making that process speed up or slow down sometimes, but overall, if you don't like your mood, just wait five minutes xP

 

And as far as the question goes, I say so and so. Just because things are so and so doesn't make them sad. So and so means not good, not bad. It's frankly how I am already. I'm okay to happy, but I'm never really extremely happy xP So, that choice.

I'd rather have the so-so life with ample happiness spread throughout than to have one super awesome period of happiness then dullness the rest of my life. As I've grown older, I've found happiness in the little things, mostly sports-related things. Although I would be totally psyched if Muse decides to tour the U.S. next year and they play either in Detroit or Cleveland.
