"Oh. Hey, new mare, you got a name? Actually, anypony here mind introducing me? I've been flying around, I must've missed introductions," he says, sitting. His thoughts started straying to Wings, but he turned them back to the situation. He looked around expectantly.

All of the noise was a bit annoying to hear inside the room. Ponies all talking to each others as if nothing was going on. Though it really never bother him before, there were too many ponies in a room. Carrick pressed his hooves together on his lip to create a whistle sound. "Listen here, ponies. It's nice to see that you all came here safe and everything, but now isn't the time to act casual. We have a time constrict on our hooves and fooling around like nothing is going on is asinine."

 

Carrick looked at them, "Either help out in searching or wait outside and check the area. If I'm not mistaken, we have some bad ponies around here."

"Zig-Zag, or Ziggy for short" The mare said looking towards the group unsure of what to do.

Hypno pulled up a chair and sat down, unsure of what they were going to do next. He finally reached the group again, so he felt relieved to say the least.

Shadow sat in his position, with a rather irritated look.

He extended a hoof, "Quickly Point. This is Lyth, preistess of the Lunar Religion. As long as you can stand us, and don't hinder us, we don't mind extra company," he said. Carrick asked for silence and he cringed, nowing his mouth was probably the biggest. Lyth rolled her eyes and resumed searching.

"I think i can do that" She whispered trying to keep quiet after what Carrick said.

Hypno looked over to Carrick keeping quiet for now, and wondered what to do. He finally decided to say something "Well, i think we have a lot of time on our hands actually. From some information i gathered from the mind of one of my brothers goons, they need something of ours to fulfill their plan. And they won't be getting it anytime soon"

"So, what were you before you tried to steal from a vampony?" he asked curious, "And did you know he was a vampony? Or did you just try to get in and get out?" He knew a thing or two about stealing, but most of his stealing was sanctioned, from places like the tower. Not from city folk.

Starbolt noticed new ponies appear, she also noticed Hypno. She then heard the all to familiar sound of Fae.

'Starbolt, you anywhere nearby?' Fae flew up the stairs still carrying Carrick's hat.

Starbolt saw Fae and gave a smile of relief.

 

Sapphire felt something was wrong. She began to walk up the stairs spear at the ready.

(( Sorry for the delay, got caught up in the debate than in the middle of the debate, I got a splitting headache. ))

 

Carrick shook his head at what Hypno said, "I think you might want to look at the big picture before assuming such things. Let's thing about this deeper shall we." Carrick dwell deeper into detective mode, it has been a while, hasn't it?

 

"If you hadn't notice things had been a bit hectic to say the least. From what had happened to Fillydelphia needs not to be repeated. However, it was sudden. It wasn't like somepony had done something of that magnitude before. Yes, the tartus(sp?) has been hard to keep close, but most ponies wouldn't of notice such a thing thanks to Luna's acts. This...this is something everypony has know now. The shockwave that hit Baltimare was proof enough to satisfy that fact." Carrick continued to look at the suspicious bedroom. It was so big, yet there wasn't much left to look.

 

Carrick continued on, "If I was some sort of mastermind, why would I blow up a city for everypony to see? He could of done this anytime he wanted to, he could of done it to Ponyville to show nothing left to find. Instead we found a lead which lead us to the Trixie...which lead us to the mountains....which lead us to you and so on and so forth. Why? The answer is a pretty simple one. To show his strength, to show he is going to end the world soon. To show that we are incompetent fools that even if we did find such things...we won't stop him anytime soon."

 

Carrick saw something odd behind the bed, Carrick saw it...as if it was unbelievable. He took it out of the bed and the vile...once again his hooves. "Another vile..." Carrick could see that all of this was by this vile. Something connected it to all of it. This case. He wonder...why would they leave something like this behind again? Carrick chuckled, "I think my theory might be correct." Carrick took the vile and felt to crush it in his hooves. However, he didn't do such a thing. He turned to see Fae with his fedora. "May I?" He asked Fae.

Fae handed over Carrick's fedora and hovered next to Starbolt's side.

Starbolt smiled even though she had a terrible headache from the weird contraption. "Glad you're back Fae." She said.

Sapphire reached the top of the stairs and saw the group. She lowered her spear but still held on to it.

 

Night Blade arrived in Ponyville he knew his quarry was near but he didn't go looking for them yet. A hunter must be patient.

Carrick twirled his fedora before he placed it back where it belongs, his head. Carrick noticed that Starbolt was a bit in pain from the metallic box. He tipped his fedora down a bit and said to her, "You want to sit down and relax Starbolt? You seem a bit tense." He said, worried.

"I have a bad headache, I believe it is being caused by that metal box." Starbolt replied to Carrick pointing towards the strange contraption.

Sapphire walked towards the group. "Hello...." She said a bit awkwardly

 

Night Blade had found an old abandoned storage place to hide for the moment. He continued to watch for any signs of his quarry.

Blaze tried to think about what Carrick was saying, but it was hard to focus with all of the mp wave interference. He decided to get soem fresh air.

"Hey Carrick, I don't feel to good. I am going to get some fresh air" Blaze said before walking down stairs and exiting the building. The air outside was cool, as a pleasant breeze blew through the quiet rural town. It carried the sent of flowers and the subtle hint of dampness. Blaze looked up at the sky, it was cloudy here like it was in Baltimare. He could feel that it was about release a massive downpour upon the town. Nonetheless he laid down on his back, on the grassy ground, and looked up at the grey sky and saw beauty in it.

Carrick nodded, "It would make sense. Though I can't sense such a MP, if it is sending off other MP sense. They probably used it to overwhelm anypony that got close to the object itself" Carrick concluded as Blaze left and Starbolt stayed for the time being. He didn't blame Blaze, something that would effect the detective's mind would be something he would hate dearly. It was one of his most useful assets. Carrick took the vile and placed it in the trench coat that he gave to Starbolt for safe keeping. "Well, we have another clue. We can take a small break for now. I need some time to reassess the situation in my head." Carrick took a notepad and started to write down notes.

'It seems that Hypno brought back some rather interesting friends..' she thought to herself. She turned back to Carrick and noticed that Blaze went out to get some fresh air, so Daeva followed him outside just to make sure nothing bad happened to him.

 

She went over and asked "Are you fine Blaze?" as she laid down beside him.

"I just don't feel to well. That device it is irritating my brain, not just that but it kinda felt like..." Blaze took a moment to think and self evaluate. Now that he was away from that device he realized that he felt kind of drained, as if he had been using a whole plethora of magic spells. It was then that it struck Blaze. "OH SHIT!" Blaze exclaimed as he got up off of the ground and ran back inside of sugarcube corner.

 

He ran up the stairs and yelled as he was ascending the stairs " CARRICK GET EVERYONE OUT OF THAT ROOM NOW!" Hoping it was not too late.

Blaze's loud shout got him to react quickly, "Everypony get out of here!" He shouted as his first instinct was to grab Starbolt and carry her down the stairs. He didn't know what Blaze was doing however, if he is screaming. This isn't going to be good. Carrick galloped down the stairs as he wonder what went wrong...

Sapphire heard somepony shout to evacuate the area. Her training took over and she quickly made her way to a window and jumped out.

 

Starbolt hurriedly ran down the stairs following Carrick. She wondered why Blaze was so worried.

Fae followed right behind her.

"NO TIME, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS BUILDING!" Blaze exclaimed in a panicked manner. As he exited the building he knew would soon be nothing more then a pile of rubble soon, he hoped that everypony made it out safely.

Daeva watched Blaze running in and telling everypony to evacuate the building as if it was going to blow everything up into nothing but thin dust. "Hey Blaze, what's going on?!" she said in a worried voice. She just looked at Sugarcube Corner, waiting for something bad to happen.

Instict made Quickly dive under Lyth and shoot out the window. It looked practiced, and even as he landed, a memory surfaced of him doing something similar to escape a burning building. He could just barely remember the face; Starbolt's. He frowned, wondering where these memories were coming from. (That was an RP that flopped.)

Fae followed Starbolt as Carricked carried her out.

"Any idea what's happening?" Starbolt asked Carrick as he carried her down the stairs.

 

Sapphire noticed Quickly fly out the window. She flew up next to him spear at the ready. "What's happening?" She asked Quickly.

He watched the window, "I don't know. I think Blaze thinks the metal box is a bomb. Hi, I'm Quickly. You are?"

 

Lyth frowned from on his back, "Quickly, you can set me down now."

 

Quickly blushed and let her down, eyes never leaving the window. He debated switching to his MP vision, but decided not to.

Sapphire turned to Quickly. "I'm Sapphire, royal guard..... Or used to be at least...." She replied to Quickly remembering how Celestia had branded her a traitor when she failed her mission objective. She kept an eye on her surroundings, she had a feeling she was being watched.

 

Night Blade was waiting when he heard a crashing sound. He looked up and saw a familiar pony fly through a window of a bakery. He watched as another pony flew out the same window and several ponies walked out the door. The one with the hat matched the description of the pony he was sent to capture. He loaded his crossbow waiting for the correct time to make a move.

Quickly frowned, and said in an undertone, "Let's go stand over there," pointing to a spot near Carrick, "I feel like we're being watched." He moved and waited for Sapphire to follow. When she did, he went on, "Guardspony, eh? Hmm, aren't we colorful. I'm a nighthunter. As the priestess loves to point out."

If Blaze was right the metal contraption was devised to disorient a magic user whilst drawing out energy of magic users and then converting it into raw explosive energy. Everypony needed to escape the building soon or else they were going to have a bad day.
