He crashlanded onto a branch and slid down the branch, luckily staying on. Lark struggled to get up, but was too weak after the effort. "H-help... please," he called out. Uri 7 Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 Feeling the pony he hooked his claws on slipped off, Hurl panicked for a moment before he found himself falling for the same fate again. No scales could measure how glad he was to be caught in midair again. "N-never mind the branch. Here! Stop here." His heart thumped against his chest, still couldn't shake off the feeling of how close he was to death. Once they were close to it, Hurl hopped out and clung onto the branch with four limbs wrapping around it like a sloth. I can't believe I cried in front of strangers. And even cried for my sister. Embarrased, Hurl forced himself to mumble a,"Thank you.", and tried to wipe the tears off his eyes, but only ended up getting more feathers in them. Sure, she wasn't the bravest pony in the world, but she never liked it when other ponies were hurt. "What's the matter?" asked Fluttershy, as she came upon the injured pony. "look at that first day and I've already got my self an ouchy" he chuckled. He walked over the pony and looked at everyone with his none injured eye. "he's not hurt that badly is he?" he asked. Uri 7 Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 It took a while for Hurl to realize that the 'Griffon' they were talking about was him. He saw the blood on the tips of his talons. Quickly the small griffon shouted out at the ponies, "I didn't mean to!" The sound of cracking underneath him announced that he just sank his talons too deep again. Hurl dropped to the ground when the branch broke, seeing stars rotating before his eyes. Then he jumped back onto his paw and scrambled up to the branch. Holding on around the trunk to peek at the Injured pony, Hurl wished he could retract his claws like cats do. "T-there is a river nearby. I can- I can get some water for him.", offered Hurl guiltily. "Is he a medicine pony or something?", asked him to no one in particular before he leaped off. To the older griffon he added when he pulled on his gray feather, "Like you said, there is one over there that you can wash your eyes in." After a while, Hurl halted by the river after a few bounces. The realization that he didn't have anything to hold the water in drove him to knocked his talons against his head. "Think. Think. Think. Oh, yeah!" A wild melon patch grown next to the river, which he quickly captured one melon, split open, and unfilled the edilble part in it. Using half of the hard par of the melon like a bowl, Hurl filled it up with water and quickly padded back to put it next to the injurred pony. He smiled "My name is Lighting stripe, its to do with my teal glow in the dark feathers" he told him. He looked back down at the pony and smiled. "Its not to deep, he should be fine!" I don't know why my name is like that, but I like it.", responded the smaller griffon, his amber eyes squinted close to see if Lightning's feathers really glow in the dark. Lashing his red lion tail, Hurl didn't even try to hide his chuckling when he pictured the gray griffon as a pirate. He teased, "Or we can call you Patchy for your one-eye!" With a leap he landed on a higher branch, falling over to his back when he couldn't stop himself from laughing.
