Post your unpopular opinions

That's unpopular alright. Care to share your reasoning?

PC gaming is very expensive, not only do you need your computer to be updated constantly, to keep up with new games, but that console gaming in itself is  fast and simple.

So tempted to PM you explaining why you're wrong...

I don't care much for teenagers who complain about life and don't know the true meaning of being poor.

Been there, done that, and am pretty sure I have it worse.

I also have very little pity about celebrity deaths/suicides, ESPECIALLY if they're drug related.

I give 'em a "that's what you get" and look away.

So tempted to PM you explaining why you're wrong...

A "simple" gaming rig can cost you upwards to 500-600 dollars, not to mention the constant upgrades and the dreaded "Updating Steam" screen.

I'll stick with the pleb's choice, thanks. x)

Not true. I've kept my desktop ( one with 2500k on my profile ), with the same cpu and gpu for a year, and I think it will remain my primary as is for at least another year or 2. Even prior it was still relatively the same.

Not really my $800 PC that I built 5 years ago still runs today's games like Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Far Cry 3 at max settings with no issues. You don't "need" to constantly upgrade...people just WANT to upgrade. And my PC is just as good as the new gen consoles. New Gen consoles are old tech.

...really? I have not heard a SINGLE PC GAMER complain about that. It takes, like, what... three or four minutes to update Steam? And I can still use the rest of my PC while it's updating, while with a console I'd need to wait for a system update (which usually took upwards of 10 - 20 minutes, maybe even an hour) to finish before I can do anything. As for drivers, I only need to update the graphics driver occasionally, and even then I don't need to upgrade it - I can still play games even on an old driver. Consoles? NOPE, gotta update first. Can't do shit without the latest updates.

And this adds on another unpopular opinion of mine: consoles these days are anything but simpler than the PC. Maybe in the 1990s, yes, but this is 2014. PC gaming is the simplest it's ever been now that Steam doesn't suck anymore and the only driver you really have to update is the graphics driver, and even then you don't need to update it immediately upon a new driver coming out. With a console, you have to update the entire thing just to play a new game.

G1 is incredibly boring. Not nearly as bad as G3, and I can see why some bronies love it, but I tried watching a few episodes and I couldn't stand it.

Oh, and I don't really hate Gilda that much.

I mean, sure she's mean, but I actually prefer her over Trixie and most Background characters. :o

(What I mean is, I don't necessarily like her, but I don't hate her as much as most bronies do)

Alicorn Twilight Sparkle isn't a bad idea.

Most people just hate it because Alicorns are OP, but I don't really care.

Johnny Test is funny, I don't care what anybody says.

Right? I don't get the hate it receives. I think it's a good show

Beyond the original 1954 Gojira, it's 1955 sequel, and King Kong VS Godzilla, most Godzilla movies just suck. I don't mean to offend any Godzilla fans here, but these movies really are cheesy and terrible. Godzilla can only destroy Tokyo and fight giant monsters and crappy futuristic Sci-Fi vehicles so many times before it gets dull. And the effects reeaaaally date the movies. I can understand the economic reasons behind the first bunch of movies' effects choices, but really, after you got a good and healthily invested in franchise, it's time you invest back into it with some better special effects. By the time of the mid-80's and 90's, it's time to ditch the cheap rubber suits for something better. I'm not saying it should have gone full CGI right away, but if James Cameron is putting out a hyper-realistic, 14ft tall animatronic Alien Queen in 1986 and you're still using a guy in a suit, you should probably rethink your methods. Even the 1998 Americanized Zilla used a fair amount of animatronic/miniature combo work, even if people didn't realize it. That's when you know when you have a working special effects combination, when you can't tell what is what. I'm sitting here watching Godzilla VS Mechagodzilla 2, made in the same year as Jurassic Park (whose effects still outpace even much of today's CGI laden action flicks), and I'm just wondering how many times I've seen this same plotline with these same chintzy rubber suits.

Ah yes.

I have many unpopular opinions.

Some actually would be considered normal about 50 years ago.

Some are quite shocking in either generation.

Here they are.

I am...

1. against abortion.

2. a Republican.

3. Christian.

4. not for gay marriage although I don't hate gay people. I just don't like gayness. I believe it is a sin.

5. Brony.

I also can tolerate the highest level of gore.

When something like a cute cartoon gets ripped apart I find it amusing.

I also am a •••••••.

(you'll figure it out)

  • A smartphone does not need a file manager to be useful to most people.

Good graphics mean nothing if the game itself is shit. (On top of that, Ryse isn't even close to being the best-looking game out there.)

I don't care about GTA V.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DUCK. ( felt like saying that )

_______________

- The Nvidia Titan Z is completely stupid. For $3000 I could build a complete monster of a computer.

- PS Vita TV looks really cool

- Brunette > Redhead > Blonde. jus' sayin'

- I have a strong feeling Assassin's Creed: Unity is going to bring some innovation.

- Low Polygon art is best art. (3D wise)

- I like a TV show about talking magical pastel-colored ponies :P

- I could care less about GTA V or Titanfall.

- I hate Call of Duty.

- I actually liked Smile HD.

- I think Michael Bay's Transformers films are actually pretty good.

List may be incomplete...

I don't think Lupita Nyong'o is attractive at all. When I was watching the Oscars, I thought she looked strange and sickly in that wide v-neck dress. Also there was something about her makeup that didn't suit her darker skin tone. Still, nothing is worse that looking so skeletal that you could practically count her bones.

I think this may be considered a sin to the music gods, but...

I like Korn's version of "One" better than Metallica's.
