Trixie, yes or no?

She's a stage magician unicorn ...in a world where real magic exists...how is that impressive? 

Magic varies a lot in Equestria. Most unicorns don't seem to have the ability to be particularly creative with their magic, and a good chunk of Trixie's performance is about the presentation. Basically, she does things that most ponies associate with "powerful unicorns," but which said powerful unicorns might not be particularly interested in doing, and makes magic look really cool in the process. 

 

I mean... can Rarity even teleport? I'm not sure we've ever seen her do that, so Trixie's specialisation in illusions allows her to do things which even in Equestria aren't reasonable for most ponies. 

 

 

I bet after the Season 6 finale, a lot of people who voted "I despise her so much" came back and changed their vote to "ME GUSTA."

Season 6 actually made me like her character a lot more. Despite my initial problems with Starlight (my feelings might be more positive depending on how she is written in season seven), I really enjoy their character dynamic and friendship. The finale made me crave an episode focusing just on Trixie and Discord.

She's adorable. Reminds me of the kind of person we all become when we are winning or are "the best" at a game or something...

 

It's the sort of personality the show rightfully steers the audience away from. If you don't like her, that means it's working. 

 

In recent episodes, she seems like a nice gal.
