Vaporeon 1,168
Someone should document this moment for posterity, since it's not likely to happen again. It's good to hear that you guys are doing this. You are MAKING THIS HAPEN. Quick question, though: will you be setting a time and linking to the battle (likely in a group message or on Skype, something lacking a character limit) so people can watch? Everything's more fun with spectators, not to mention I'd love to see what teams you came up with. On another note, it seems like nobody took me up on that team-rating thing. The offer still stands if things aren't finalized yet (and since I got to the party too late, I may be totally out of the loop and PTR may already have everyone's finalized teams in a group message, which is understandable I guess). Speaking of spectators is their any way of recording this? Just because it may end up being a decent tourney. Also I plan on PMing you about my team. I just need to tweak it before I think I should show it to you.
Espeon 338
@, unfortunately, Showdown doesn't save logs, so the only possible way to record would be to make a video or something yourself. Is that what Fraps does? I really have no idea. And if you really want to tweak your team before showing me, that's fine, but remember that I'm probably going to suggest some tweaks anyway. Pokemon Online does save logs, and there is this nifty website: http://pokemon.aesoft.org/ that lets you convert a saved PO log into a replay file to view with the same animations that PS! has (they're run by the same guy, you can check out some of the public replays on there if you want), but I had massive problems trying to save logs when I used PO. Maybe it's gotten better in PO 2.0. To anyone who plans on battling on PO instead of Showdown (I don't know if the choice is up to the battlers or not here), that's definitely an option. To everyone else, recording devices/programs are the only current way.
Guest
If everyone wants, I could probably Fraps the match. The computer I'll be using is certainly good enough for it. And as for spectating, a different program/site is unnecessary. You can spectate and chat with the players during a match on PS without a char limit/minimum. Just look for the right tier, and click the button that has both players' names on it.
