Why does The Hub show MLP so early?

So I finally woke up early today at 7 in the morning just to watch MLP. I live on the west coast and they show it here from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Usually I watch MLP on You Tube so this was the first time I ever saw it on The Hub. So today I saw "The Cutie Pox" and "May the Best Pet Win". So do you think The Hub should show it at a later time? Maybe noon?

Season 2 episodes aired at 1 in the afternoon for me. Didn't watch any season 1, as I wasn't into it, then. And no, it should not be aired earlier, because the show is not intended for older individuals. It's enjoyable for older people, but the demographic is still for younger kids. Younger kids wake up earlier in the day due to different levels of Melatonin and all other whatnots, so of course it's got to air relatively early.

All the episodes here are aired at 11:00-12:00 PM and 1:30-2:30 PM. Well because it wasn't intended for individuals over 12. I still have 2 chances to catch episodes though.

Yeah... I don't think it should be aired earlier either. You can always watch the episodes online if you don't want to watch them early. Or, you can record them.

I guess it's because the tended audience tend to watch it at times earlier in the morning (mid day air for me is also early for an airing when I don't get up till11 often ).

It's lucky that we can all just watch it on YouTube, I love has or for the fact they have not gone after all of the YouTube videos for copyright <3 :)

The time they air it works for me personally, since I'm usually just getting up at the time and I can begin my day with ponies. :P

They have actually been airing it at night though lately, last Tuesday they did at least, part of this summer nights they're doing, so it probably won't be for much longer.

I actually liked it when the episodes aired at 6 and 7 AM; nothing like starting your weekend off with ponies without anyone else up to disturb you.

They air it early because you're supposed to start out your day the pony way, by watching 1-2 episodes every morning.

Most children's shows air in the morning, especially very early in off-season.

I'd like to know why season 1 aired on Friday mornings. Aren't even the target audiences in school, whether it be pre-k to second grade on a Friday morning?

Most of the children friendly shows always play during the mornings, who ever decided that? Though if I remember correctly, they did push MLP out of the afternoon show rotation before season 2 began.

They air a couple of episodes from 7 to 8 AM, possibly for the teens and young fans before they go to school, that's my guess, despite the show being aimed at a younger audience. That's my guess.

I know whenever I catch an episode being aired, I watch it, especially if it's before work. It's always a treat to watch MLP in crisp HD. Usually I'll get my fill on YouTube if I miss it, but watching it raw on TV is nice.

The only way to watch MLP on TV in Canada is to watch it at 6:30PM on Friday (when they air "new" season 2 episodes, they just aired Secret of my Excess for the first time last night), which isn't a normal time for most people. Even if you do watch it it's only once a week. It doesn't help that my brother is usually watching TV at the same time. Seriously, in other countries it's way worse, including the country that MLP is made in.

Yes, and it's the same channel (Treehouse) that censors out words like "loser". I've seen people complain that FiM is too dark for Treehouse and can scare the channel's target audience (commonly 2-6 year olds) really easily. That is probably true. It even scares the Bronies sometimes.

The Hub's got nothing on Treehouse.

I noticed that! After the whole Derpy thing died down, they pretty much let everything else be. An excellent move on Hasbro's part--recently, I ordered cable TV for the first time in many years, just so I could get the Hub, and now I watch Pound Puppies and even Strawberry Shortcake! In case you couldn't tell, I vote with my dollars. Hasbro seems to be one of the first media companies to come around to 21st Century thinking. ;)

They show it that early in the morning because that is when little kids wake up. No matter what, that's when they wake up. You could put them down an hour before and they'll still get up then. So remember next time you get annoyed with your mom for being a morning person that it's probably your fault. I bet she used to sleep until noon before you were born. ;)

In all seriousness though, I just DVR them, my brother watches them on netflix.

They repeat the MLP episode at 9:30 ET on Fridays on Treehouse. That's when I usually watch it. I also catch the S1 rerun at 4 on Sunday.

Because us early bird like to watch it, or we can just DVR it. It's quite simple, actually. *wink wink*

During the season, the episodes are aired at 11 am where I am and that's all I care about. I literally wake up, brush my teeth, get changed, and make a mad dash for the HD tv downstairs and arrive at like 10:55. The only times I've seen them on the Hub during the offseason is at around the same time, but I'm not a frequent Hubber and wouldn't know the exact times.

Well, I do like that it airs late there since I wake up too late to actually watch FiM most of the time. But they seriously did not catch up with S2 yet? That's pretty strange.

Wait, wait, wait wait.... Your not serious, right? They censor words in the show, and the show is too dark? That's... odd.

Yup.

It makes the scene even funnier. BTW, the word in question was losers. Oh no! Little kids can't handle someone losing! Sure it's being used as an insult, but little kids hear words like idiot or moron a lot in cartoons anyway.)

It's even #1. on the top foreign fails list.

But, I don't have a DVR. :( On Saturdays they show MLP at 7:00 AM and sometimes they even show it at 3:00 AM.
