When you a young, the thing that got the strongest impact is the visuals. Kids cannot fully understand the story behind them so they don't find that to be scary at all.

However, when you grow up story is the scary part, the visuals is just a bonus.

Feel free to show him this movie. The clowns are way creepier in the looks then the clown from IT.

Dude... you show'd that to a 9 year old?.... I just dont know how to respond to that.... I mean thats kinda a harsh thing to do in my books... ;) . I showed my younger cousin the scary maze game once (years ago)..... I mean everyone reacts different to these sort of things but he lost it. Like he FREAKED OUT.... looking back I still dont know whether to think it was horrible or hilarious  .

clowns are the most scary thing around to me and this is without seeing any of those films ><

I just hate them full stop (and im 18) so i can completely understand why he is so freaked out.

You just have to talk to him about it and comfort him :) only time can cure this :P

Yeah Pennywise, and clowns in general, are pretty scary but they aren't nearly as scary as balloons are.

Just don't talk about it for a while and soon he will forget about it. Seriously though you showed him a clown that murders people... He's going to be scared of clowns for a while.

Yeah, take him to some of the streets of inner-city Detroit; he won't be worrying about clowns any more...

I flipping hate clowns but if you want to get that out of his head, if you want him to be scared of something else that,s not the clown than get him to wach the movie The Decent only dont show him the trailer because...

Because when they introduce the "Things" you don't expect it, so if you don't watch the trailer than it will scare the living daylights out of you.

And then if you want him to start thinking about not scary things than get him to watch mlp or something super cute like it :)
