I would just have to say the majority of cartoon shows that they air on cartoon network as of now suck! I mean there are a couple of good cartoons that have come out the past few years.... but the good shows are really rare!

Many Canadian cartoons aside from Friendship is Magic are... sub-par. I myself have a massive hatred for Johnny Test despite one of the main characters being voiced by Ashleigh Ball (and she's voicing a really useless character. Why does there need to be two super smart scientist twin sisters? They are both extremely bland, and have pretty much the same personalities.) Why the heck are there 6 seasons and why is it so popular?! Here in Canada, they air it more than shows on the same channel (Teletoon) like Adventure Time or the Regular Show.

A lot of shows geared toward little kids get on my nerve too, especially of the "why are you ruining my childhood" variety. For example, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or My Friends Tigger and Pooh (why was Christopher Robin replaced by a self insert and why is it in sucky CGI. What's wrong with just tradition animation or flash or something? It's way better-and less scary and more fluid-looking.)

I really hate Johnny Test. It's such a bland plot with cliched characters and the animation is just...not good.

Level Up is sexist and unoriginal.

The new episodes of Spongebob suck. The movie and all episodes before are gold in my book, though.

ALL DISNEY SEQUELS EVER UGH. The direct-to-video animated ones. The only decent one is the Lion King 2, because at least the plot was decent enough for me to watch the whole thing. The rest crap all over the original classics and they make me sick.

Alright, if something happens aka trolling comments...

I'm getting some popcorn to eat for such enjoyment over that style of complaining. So if you want to avoid that, just respect one's opinion even if you don't like it.

Spongebob Squarepants - He was more enjoyable from the first and second season, but when the third came in... it was rapidly becoming more unbearable and making Spongebob more of a ignorant annoying character. Worst of all, IMO, this show was made by the same guy who made Rocko's Modern Life and he now tends to re-use the animatics of that show in here. Try something new at least, show some effort Stephen Hillenburg! I prefer that show over this one.

-Mad

-Johnny Test (been on the air for so many years, I hate it)

- New scooby doo (Really? Not even the original)

-The Looney tunes show (Not the original...and it's not the same)

-Out of Jimmy's head (Made no sense)

-Ben 10

-Dude, what would happen (Why is it on cartoon network?)

-Level Up (Bunch of nerds...)

-All Grown Up (I prefer them babies)

-Total Drama series (SHOULD NOT be for kids..)

-Danny Phantom (Fairly odd parents are better)

-The might B (The hell was that show?)

-Phineas and Ferb (It's boring)

-Bakugon (However you spell it...but laaaame)

-Yu-Gi-Oh (Im sorry for people who loved it, I never much cared for it)

-Bey Blade (It usually plays every morning, but I dont like it)

-Almost Naked animals (The hell?)

I think you need to watch this show then, Disney really struck gold when they made this.

I want to second this. I just started watching the show last night and already caught up. It's fantastic. I do find some of the characterization a bit thin and some of the humour I think suffers a little bit for the sake of being appropriate for it's main demographic but they still get away with quite a bit.

Anyway, as loved as it is, I really despise Home Movies. Much like Seinfeld, it's a show that I've never been able to understand why people like it.

I don't watch much TV so I haven't seen a second of most modern day shows, so all I can really lend my opinion to are old cartoons that I used to watch. For instance:

Later Rugrats episodes were sorta like SpongeBob now in that they were forced drops of milk from a cash cow long past its prime.

Rocket Power is laughably horrible. The only good thing it had going for it was Tito, little cuzes.

Pokemon is like the games in that it's always the exact same thing, except the games are actually enjoyable.

And so on...

While I agree on the main point that the show is far past its glory days, I've read that Hillenburg isn't as closely involved with the show as he was originally and that he wanted the movie to be the series finale. (which it wasn't due to $$$) And this might be a bit nitpicky but Joe Murray was the creator of Rocko; Hillenburg did work on the show, but he wasn't the creator.

Ah, Cartoons. There has been some amazing stuff for cartoons. Of course, we can count for My Little Pony, that one is a bit obvious. Regular Show of course, is like by most people on this forums. Ed, Edd, and Eddy is one of my favorite cartoons. As well as the first/second seasons of Chowder. Johnny Bravo, etc.

Unfortunate ,for me when it came to Cartoons. I really got the short end of the stick. I got cartoons pretty late when they started to diminished in quality. So I've been with crappy cartoons for a while.

Spongebob is the first one. One of first shows I marathoned for a while before they came out with new ones in 04-05 (I don't remember.) Than the new show came in with a new look....and it looked BLEH. Not too mention the characters became a shell of themselves (except maybe Squidward...maybe) The characters became one-dimension and started to bend more for the plot instead of the other way around. (For example, Spongebob/Patrick were calm and relaxed when in a prison. HOWEVER, in another episode Spongebob was bawling over the stupidest things. All of my whats. ) The show has died thanks to crappy writing.

Family Guy. Now technically, this isn't exactly a kids show, but I'm pretty sure there a good amount of kids who watch this show. This show (though in recent times has gotten a little better at it.) had became more of a giant shock factor. That's all they use now. They tried to make the CRAZIEST THING and think it's edgey, but when that's all you do...it becomes normal and thus...boring.

Fanboy and Chum Chum. All of my whats. There's little to no substance in this show. It's all just....random and stupid. It usually tried to use gross comedy and...MEH. Just a stupid show, there isn't much to say about it. Just a show that has extreme one-dimension characters..

Still, I don't we have it as bad anymore. Regular Show, Adventure Time, Gumball, Gravity Falls, and MLP. We do have a decent amount of shows to keep people occupied. Compare to a few years ago, where there wasn't much to really go on.

My friends, we are truly overlooking the bane of cartoons...the horrendous entity known only as "Captain Planet". Many of you may not remember this abomination...but it aired far too long, and still, to this day, the song is within my head...it will not stop!

Oh, derp.. it was Joe Murray! Sorry about that, thank you very much for correcting me there. I would of figured that he wouldn't be as involved at all. That film was such a flop in my opinion. For the last bit, it wasn't nitpicky at all... you were just correcting me and I checked to be sure it was correct, and correcting someone when it is necessary. ;)

Does it have to be a cartoon meant for kids? If not, there is one show that creeps me out more than anything ever: "Salad Fingers"

I honestly don't know who thought of the stuff in that show but its genuinely disturbing. Watch it on Youtube if you like having nightmares :(

Salad Fingers is an online cartoon made by a normal teen, the show was odd but i just thought it was quite awsome oh well I'am weird like that..and thats what i love about me <u< Edited by MLPSQUAD

You do know that Cailou is for a much younger target audience right? I mean, a lot of little children programs have flaws, but it's for little kids.

Sorry, but I see nothing special whatsoever in this series.

Now then, time for the list:

*Note, they are in spoilers, to brace for unimaginable amounts of butthurt*:

2004- present Spongebob, honestly, the show went downhill after the godawful movie. Although the handsome Squidward episode made me LOL so hard.

Phineas and Ferb, I never got into the show and the plot is too thin, its repetitive, boring, and a song for every episode? Seriously, not my cup of tea.

Total Drama Island- I hate this show with a burning passion of 1000 suns, it was stupid from the start (like Survivor, which it parodies)

Ed, Edd, n, Eddy, This show was so stupid, even as a little kid I was unattracted to it.

Johnny Test, My eyes, this is a show that can be classified as "that gave me cancer"

Out of Jimmy's head, This show can be classified as "Gave me cancer, killed me, made cancer contagious, infected my family and died." Kind of hate I have for this show.

Ninjago, I love Legos, and this ruined my childhood, seriously?

Hero Factory, I never was into Bioncle, but it classifies as "We're out of ideas."

Coming soon, more rants.

I know I already mentioned this, but here's why I hate Level Up. A lot (involving rants):

Let's be honest here, we all love cartoons that are animated. Level Up, however, is an exception. It's basically a generic live-action series that SOMEHOW made its "debut" to Cartoon Network. Level Up is, simply put, NOT a cartoon, because, as mentioned before, is more live-action than cartoon-ish. Seriously, Cartoon Network, you are trying WAY too hard into making new cartoons and Level Up ISN'T F***ING ONE OF THEM! Seriously, you should've AT LEAST get rid of it instead of KEEPING IT, because everyone knows that they want CARTOONS, not this piece of flying s**t! What in the world were you THINKING?! if you want to make a new show, make it an ANIMATIONS SERIES! IT'S NOT THAT F***ING HARD!

So in the end, live-action series do NOT, and I mean, do NOT F***ING belong on CN if it's not animated, let alone CARTOON-Y. Live-action movies should belong in the movies, not on animated channels. Just do us all a favor and ditch Level Up, 'cause not only it's not a cartoon, it just doesn't belong here at all.

End of rant.

all of your statements are merely opinions. i shall bring facts to the table with my cartoon.

Almost Naked Animals: Does that even SOUND like a thought out show?

Spongebob Squarepants (seasons 5-Present day): There is nothing and i repeat NOTHING of value in the series now.

Fan-Boy and Chum Chum: This one is so bad its unforgetable. In the worst possible way.

Misadventures of Flapjack: The art style of exaggerated facial expressions and over the top art is just gross... and its not funny either.

the Battle Toads Show: this show was so terrible, so horrendous, it only aired two episodes.

i rest my case. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

1) Dog With a Blog: Omg could a TV show get any worse. STAN WATCHES PORN. He was looking at "Hot Poodles" on the computer! On a kids show??

2) Pound Puppies: That one puppy (Like Rebound or something) is the most annoying thing ever.

3) You Have Got to See This: They're just trying to be RWJ or something.

4) iCarly: hoemahgawd

5) A.N.T. Farm: It's just not funny. They totally ruined R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Best shows: My Little Pony and Gravity Falls.

Most current Nickelodeon shows, like icarly, victorious, 6teen, etc. I think are pretty bad, as well as most of the cartoon network. (Johnny test, Ben 10, Generator Rex, etc.) I wish Nickelodeon would bring El Tigre back >.>
