Anypony have a rarity or rainbow dash promo card I can buy or trade?

Good luck with that. I have looked high and low for Rainbow Dash and nothing. :/

 

I got Rarity at Bronycon and I am not letting her go. I am sure most people feel that way about their Rainbow Dash cards too.

I really want some trading cards but they do not sell them in store here in the UK, will have to order them online when i have the money and after i have bought my ticket for Buck.

I've never seen these here in the UK before, so when I went into Toys R Us and spotted some near the checkouts I was very excited. I bought a packet, and it contained:

 

Gummy

Applebloom Standee

PeeWee

Everfree Forest

Rainbow Dash's cutie mark tatto

I found rainbow dash on e bay, but she is pretty expensive. There is also one on ebib going for 300.

I'm kinda upset since the stores in my town have stopped carrying them.  I am not sure why, they were getting money from me every time I'd see them, I bought an entire box once :/ Oh well.

I think that unless I miraculously come across a foil RD for free or cheap, I am going to wait a year or two before looking for her. I have a feeling that these cards are going to be like Pokemon cards and depreciate in value over the years. I mean remember when Charizard was worth $200 retail? Now you can get him for $5-10. Pretty ridiculous.

 

I collect the cards as a hobby and as something that I can complete yet something that can be added onto. It is fun. I really enjoy the feeling you get when you finally have a hard-to-search for card.

Also I lost my chance at a RD foil again... they were posted on the Enterplay Store for $4.00. And they were sold out so fast. Grrrr... they really ought to post it for a day and then have people buy them, and they can just print them based on how many people buy.

 

RD is the ONLY series 1 card that I am missing. Grrrrr.

Whew, like a minute ago they put 50 more of the series 2 Pinkie Pie promos on, and I finally got one . They're already sold out too.

I have most of the normal cards(just need a few more of the location cards), 6/9 of the Wedding Set, 3/6 of the Elements set, the exclusive cards from the Pinkie box, Vinyl Box, and the Tin, all the standees, and a few random normal foils. Chrysalis was the ass to get, like 50+ packs and I only have one of her(the normal non-foil one)

 

 

 

I hope they send out one more shipment of the normal series so I can fill it out more.

I think that you can still get some of the packs online. I have seen some at Hot Topic as well.

 

There are also individual cards that you can get on Toywiz and eBay.

I don't have them, they look pretty wicked. I love playing Pokemon Trading Cards [i have 3 albums full of them, last year got a full legend card. I was yelling at the sky out of cheeriness: Still like my Articuno Foil the best!]

 

...Maybe they'll go Pokémon on us and make some sort of system, like CARD VERSUS CARD. Epic Pony battles go:

Managed to snag the 3 promos that Enterplay had up today. This will save me lots of money. Maybe someday I'll even manage to get that Rarity card

Although... I did manage to find an interesting article through a Google search today. I wanted to see if anyone had posted any lists of the series 2 trading cards, and I find this article instead:

Sooooooo does this mean that we can find a Rainbow Dash promo in one of the packs now? Shoot. Well, maybe this way I can snag one on ebay or Toywiz for less money. I don't want to keep buying more series 1 cards when RD is the only one that I have missing and I have tons of doubles for most of the rest of them. :/

 

Oh man though, I would LOVE it if Toywiz would sell the RD card. I managed to snag Derpy and the 3 posters from NYCC. That was a miracle. That is also where I got my Luna gold card. :3

 

Granted, I'm not even sure if this article is telling the truth. I mean, I haven't seen anything about them printing a third round of series 1 cards from any other source.

I got a few of these at Dollar Tree for my gf, since I didn't have many pokemon cards for her. I don't really find buy the cards as interesting as trying to buy M:TG cards. Wondering what sorta monsters/spells/etc I'll get is more exciting than what ponies I'll get I suppose. *shrug*

Yeah, I found purple tinker on Twitter and asked her about the promo card at big apple and she said if you buy a ticket to go and send her the receipt, she would claim your card for you. Pretty awesome uh!?

Well I live in Nebraska so I wasn't able to go. So I bought a ticket and emailed her the receipt. She then claimed the badge and used the badge to claim my card. She is now going to mail everyone their cards that she did this for. We just pay for shipping.

I got home from Dollar Tree earlier and they had Pony cards! I had to search high and low and they were practically hidden, but I was determined to find some.

 

I bought four packs and was happy that I got cards of Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Apple Bloom. Thanks so much for the tip! Now, I gotta get an Applejack card.

I should have also mentioned, that two of my other local Dollar Tree stores didn't have them, so if you don't see any, try another Dollar Tree. I can't guarantee you'll find one that carries them, but some do and some don't from what I've found.

 

Anyway, Dollar Tree usually has a rack full of different trading cards, like sports, Pokemon, and other stuff. Look around in those. I saw MLP cards on the floor underneath, but they were blocked off by some TCG card holders. Pretty poor organization in my opinion. You have to have an eye for detail like Rarity to find them.

Okay.  I'm going around stores this weekend.  My local Dollar Tree doesn't carry trading cards I don't think.  I hope I find some soon.  I'm sick of paying 2 dollars when I can pay 1.

You don't even have to be in New York, so long as you were able to pay for shipping costs, she'd send to you. However Big Apple Ponycon is the only one she's mentioned doing it for, and I caught her last minute on the deal.
