Currently, I am in the process of rebuilding.

My gaming machine finally died after 5 years of me abusing her. By abusing her I meant, Ultra settings at 1080p, full OC and never shutting the damn thing off, as well as 912gb worth of games and mods installed on it.

This system isn't impressive as of yet, it's a WIP, and a budget PC still under $400 spent.

I bought an Acer Aspire just to use as the chassis.

It has an AMD A 10 6700 piledriver chipset APU at 3.7ghz

12 GB DDR 3 2100mhz Ram,

Radeon HD 8670d crossfired with Radeon R7 250 2GB DDR5 graphics (Gotta love APU's ability to crossfire)

Two LG Blue-ray drives I cannibalized from my old system.

1000W BFG PSU (because I can)

Windows 8.1 64bit OS, will be upgrading to Win10 when it launches.

1 TB Seagate 7200 RPM HDD

1 TB Samsung 5400 RPM HDD as backup, with a Win 7 Partition (again, cannibalized.)

32 Inch Panasonic Viera Plasma HDTV (because I like my dynamic shadows TYVM)

Gamecon 780 headset by Plantronics

Standard Acer keyboard.

Ibuypower 5 button gaming mouse.

I've got an old prebuilt from I think 2004 with upgraded ram and a GPU. I've been stuck with this thing for years.

CPU: Intel Pentium D @2.80GHz

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9500GT

RAM: 2X 2gig DDR2 sticks

Harddrive: ~240GB Hard Disk Drive

Motherboard: Not sure actually...

PSU: 450W Antec VP

It also has 2 optical drives and a sound card. It still runs surprisingly well considering I'm running games on a 1080p 60Hz monitor. I can max old games but newer ones run between 30-45 fps on the lowest settings.

Hey guys.

I was wondering what laptops (and specs) everypony has.

Pretty sure that there's a thread just like this, but I'll start another one just for the heck of it.

Anyways, I'll start.

MacBook Air (Early '15)

Intel Core i5-5200U

4GBs of RAM

128GB SSD

Not a gaming computer by any means, but it gets work done.

I do not use a laptop actually. I'm a desktop user, but I have a little netbook that I sometimes will use which is a little Dell Inspiron Mini 10.

I don't have a laptop anymore I use a desktop computer now. I did have a Gateway I don't remember the specs or the exact model but it was decent and could play your more average games as it had a dedicated nvidia gfx card.

I rarely use my laptops... But I have two working ones right now. The first one being from 2011 and the new one being from earlier this year. The only reason I have two is because the 2011 has gotten really slow, and in the Spring my desktop broke down and I thought I was going to have to send it in to get fixed, so I found the new one for a good deal. Although now my desktop is working, it was a simple fix of needing new RAM.

Old Laptop: I do not even know the specs... I'll have to look it up... *later* Nope, not happening... Turns out I can't find the charge cable... You know for having a clean room, I sure do lose things quite often. What in the world?! >.<

Either way, it is not high-specs... But it was pretty good for its price of around or under $200 and a total life-saver for me in college.

New Laptop:

Intel i7-4510U @ 2.00 GHz 2.60 GHz

12GB RAM

1TB HD

Windows 8.1

I just got a new laptop for my birthday in June! ^_^

I actually picked it myself, which is unusual, because my husband is more of an expert on computers than I am (he built his desktop himself). But I happened to see this beauty and liked the specs on first glance. When I showed hubby, he approved and we decided it was the best option! :)

Anyway, my new laptop is a Gigabyte and the specs are as follows:

  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M 4 GB GDDR5
  • 4th Generation Intel Core i7 4720HQ (2.60GHz)
  • 8GB Memory 1TB HDD 128GB SSD
  • 17.3" 1920 x 1080
  • Windows 8.1 with available upgrade to Windows 10

It also has a back-lit keyboard, which is fun! :D
