Why is Rainbow Dash always drawn or depicted as being flat chested?

More aerodynamic? XD, I've never been a fan of or even really looked at humanized drawings before so I can't speak for the minds of the artists. I'd say that it's just one of those things that made sense to someone once and everyone else has been imitating ever since, like the Lyra/Bon Bon ship

I have never really looked at r63 of RD, but if you're seeing that commonly I'd have to guess that because she is an athletic tomboy she wouldn't have a chest, at least that's what r63'ers think.

 

That wouldn't be R63, RD actually is a girl.

 

Also, I'm more inclined to wonder why everyone gives human Fluttershy Gag boobs if we're opening the can of worms and discussing this mess.

No worries I quite understand. It is pretty hard to tell sometimes! I don't mind, it's just an honest mistake. I do the same to other people all the time, and I always feel so bad... So I've basically given up trying to use gender specific pronouns and instead stick to either using ambiguous words or including both, just in case. I feel like everyone has done the same thing on a forum before XD

Athletic girls typically have small breast sizes. Since a significant amount of a boob is fat, and they work out often, it's only natural to have rather small busts. Dashie is athletic.

 

However, there's exceptions. Which I'm not complaining about.

Okay, I know about boobs.. (I have some). An athletic girl can have average breasts if she's only gotten into sports since or shortly befor puberty. You see, boobs are mostly fat. If a person has low body fat since young childhood (gymnastics, running, flying) then when their boobs start to develope, they won't be as fatty, making them smaller, alot smaller. If a person gets into athletics slightly before or after puberty, the breasts have started to develope, and losing the fat stored in the body won't affect them much. Rainbow has been into speed since fillyhood, so a flat chest would be the anatomical result. Pinkiepie, on the other hand would be large chested, because of her love of sweets since fillyhood, Rarity's would probobly be fake... Apple Jack's would be mostly flat aswell. Twilight's would be average, as she isn't lazy or particulary athletic. Fluttershy's would be average or smaller as well, as a filly she was rather slim. Belive it or not, most girls have B-C cups, sorry boys. The notion that anyone except for Pinkie would have large boobs is nonsense. Remember, slim girls don't have the body for anything bigger than C. D cups will also weigh a lot more than a B cup girl. Hourglass figure does not equal super flat tummy/skinny/tiny waist.

except for Pinkie Pie, if she eats candy since childhood, that would make her have big boobs? I don't think so, if that's real many girls would be sucking lollipops 24/7 instead of having breast implants.

Actually the size of the mane6 that you especified before, has close relation with their personalites, I don't know if you noticed but I did and that's a mistake we always do, Fluttershy is shy, she should have small boobs, Twilight is neutral, she should be average chested and etc. What if Fluttershy was thin when she was a filly? when she hits puberty she could transform into a very curvy voluptuous woman, but we would never would be used to see Fluttershy like that, so she could have the same probabilities of having huge boobs than Twilight or Rarity, or all of them just being flat chested or average.

I don't see how this should be an issue anyways, but here it goes. Have you ever seen top female athletes? How many of them are well-endowed? It's really more of a self-selection that weeds out the possibility of her having a larger bust size in art depictions.

iv'e seen tons of humanized mane six, some have small boobs (personal ascetic preference) some have big boobs... and some have Huge boob ( some times i have to face hoof at my own gender) honestly its all about the mind of the person drawing.

Athletic girls have more testosterone in their body (the male horomone) more Testosterone, smaller boobs. The more estrogen (female horomone) bigger boobs, that's really it.

Also breast implants help..

Actually most girls at full breast development within the 'average' weight range have A or B sized breast. The world average is B-C only because of all the obesity.

There are always different cases my friend was skinny as a twig and had massive knockers, and some of the fattest girls I knew were flat chested.

It really comes down to genetics and the sexual horomone is your body.

Testosterone is needed to create and maintain muscle, but since it's the male hormone is actually makes your breasts shrink.

Anyway it's good you set a few people straight that their anime girl fantasies are not realistic and most natural breasts are a lot smaller than what porn and the media depicts.

Oh "performed". Right. In mammology circles, we prefer to call it the Cup-Cup-Squeeze exam. It used to be a 5 second exam but it got extended to 10 seconds.

Let's face it, AJ is seen as a Daisy Duke by most people that draw her humonized. That would explain the big boobs and her short shorts with tied up flannel shirt that's mostly unbuttoned. AJ would be average at best and would be wearing jeans with a fully buttoned and tucked in shirt if we were talking actual cowgirl out there "bucking" them apples.

 

I don't think I need to touch on Dashie since it's been said many times why she would be flatter than the rest.

thats something I really hate. Just cause she's a tomboy doesn't mean she's a lesbian!! I view her as a straight pony who would marry me if I were a pony. And most tomboys I know aren't flat chested either, more average.

I think mostly because in order to fly as fast as Rainbow Dash flies, she would have smaller boobs so she can be more aerodynamic. I can't really imagine RD flying with big boobs while she's trying to do a sonic rain boom...

I guess rainbow Dash is depicted as kind of tom-boyish, so the artist might pick up on that and use the flat chest as a way to cut back on the feminine side. But i don't see how it matters.

I'm a powerhouse gymnast and I have large breasts. I go to my gym 6 out of 7 days a week. I am 17 and God do I have boobs! I am a fitness lover but I do like my sweets from time to time but I way 120! (Half is from muscle!) But my friends some of them are flat chested even though they like sweets (ALOT!) Breats are half made out of muscle! so Since I have 30 pounds of it my breasts would be big. It does matter Protein to. Which an athlete has alot of! So Fans are just drawing Rainbow Dash with small breasts!

Like others have said, most athletic girls have smaller chests. They pretty much need a smaller chest..I couldn't imagine doing half the sports out there, boobs get in the way of everyday activities XD

 

I can't lie on my stomach to sleep anymore, I doubt I'd be able to do gymnastics.
