1 subforum per episode?

The current board layout only accommodates a single thread per episode. We could create other threads in another area, or attempt to hold multiple overlapping discussions, but...

 

Could we put each episode in its own sub-forum (or child board, or whatever) to better organize the dozens of discussions and hundreds of comments that are flooding the Season 3 board?

wouldn't rely be much point because some people may just post in both, so both thread would be a mess and two topics for the same thing would be kinda pointless.

 

also one thread per episode doesn't rely stop topic about a certain thing with in that episode we all ready have thread about Sombra and that black book at the end so technically there sub threads from the main episode thread.

Initial flooding is to be expected.

 

In the grand scheme this isn't really a good idea in terms of organization. Subforums are something we try to minimize because the more you have, the more cluttered and potentially confusing your forum can get for users. One thread per episode works just fine. Keep in mind that the Show Discussion forum can be used to talk about aspects and theories and other things shown in episodes, as well. The single episode discussion is only a 'reaction and thoughts to that single episode' sort of thing.

Although I can see your point and where you're coming from, I don't think this would be that good of an idea. Having a subforum for each episode would be very crowded, and only wind up giving the staff more to check and go out of their way for. Normally a subforum or forum is meant for a much broader topic than a single episode, so the number of topics in each episode subforum wouldn't be that large, and ultimately unnecessary.

 

You can only be so organized, and eventually if you try too hard it will become infamous organized chaos. However that's partly what the entire show discussion section is for isn't it? Talking about things directly involving the show and its content. So it's not something that is really needed.

 

However what they could do, is make prefixes in Show Discussion. Perhaps if they had them for "Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, and other" than it can be sorted for people to more easily narrow their search for something?

Ok, makes sense. I shouldn't have been surprised at how quickly that thread dwarfed the threads for past episodes.
