I'm going to say this. All of you who hate cloppers read previous threads about R34 and Cloppers. One last thing. You are hating for the wrong reason. You hating for an activity that doesn't affect you and you barely know anything about. Also, the innocence of the show? This show has violence, made a reference to alcohol, and even referenced an R rated movie. What innocence?

I've adopted a philosophy of my own over the years, that whatever a person thinks of as "natural" is entirely dependent on their upbringing and cultural standards. These standards aren't just limited to country borders, there can be a vast range of them in any location or culture! So what you think of as "immoral" or "unnatural" could be completely acceptable to someone else of a different background. Does that make them a bad person undeserving of your respect, even deserving of your superior judgement?

 

Basically, I've come to recognize that concepts of morality and naturality are moot once you bring enough people into the conversation. So can we stop hating each other?

 

Edit: one more thing... who cares what Howard Stern and his bigoted audience think of us? Face it, we never had their approval to begin with, and we never will.

 

Exactly. It seems to me that people often tend to misunderstand what is clopper attracted to. Hint: It's not animals. They often have certain feeling for the personality of the ponies, just taking it a little bit further, but overall, it's understandable. Even though I feel sick when I see some too perverted r34 (which doesn't usually happen, it's really easy to avoid unless you are searching for something, can't find it and come to a stupid conclusion that it was mistakenly filtred by safe search, so you turn it off), I don't think it's unnatural; Whatever floats your boat, ponies.

I can't stand it when bronies troll and spam the people who aren't bronies, but not brony haters. Also people who love something fan made only because it involves ponies. For instance, someone makes a fan song about mlp, and people love it only because it has ponies. It is hard to explain.

The second thing I hate most is that applejack gets no love. Shes hard working and honest, and shes always willing to help out apony in need, but she rarely asks anything from other ponies. I dont want to live in a world where that blue bitch is revered but the orange pony is revolted.

 

nothing against cloppers, nothing against ponyfags. If I could change one thing about the fanbase, it would be to eliminate the rainbow dash lovers, and eliminate the aj haters.

That's what makes the show so in-depth. Every character has plenty of examples where they don't live up to their elements, so they're just like normal people. Nopony's perfect, and we all fail to be our best at least once a day.

I disslike the way people see it like "Being gay" and you have to "Come Out " to being a brony. But with this I'm not sure if its the parents of people being stupid for hating on there kids for liking a show or the community itself thinking its something more important then it really is.

 

I mean, when i watched naruto i didn't feel like i had to tell everyone i did and come out to them about watching it! Its a TV show that we enjoy (or the community around it, i know some dislike the show but love the community/art) and it should stay that way.

I can see where your coming from, however porn in general just ruin's people lives causing them to become addicted to it like a drug. While i accept it exists and im fine with people liking it (It's there choice, we can choose whatever we want) i feel for them because once you start clopping, it's very difficult to stop and i have heard many stories where things like this have consumed and ruined people lives.

I'm not a fan of most any fan-fics, especially grimdarks and ship-fics. Also the r34 stuff.

I also don't agree with several popular opinions, even though most are jokes, like lesbo-Dash and murdering Pinkie. It disturbs me, personally. But I guess it has to do with my overly jealous nature. Oh well, I won't judge others by their preferences. Whatever floats your boat.

What I hate is that if ONE Brony clops or makes R34 Pony Art, ALL BRONIES do it. I was micspamming Winter Wrap Up in TF2 yesterday. Some random guy claimed that it was shoving ponies down his throat and started accusing me of being a pedophile. Because liking a TV Show is so much more serious than terrorism, obesity, rape, etc combined.

As most of the posters here said, R34 and clopping. I also don't like shipping. I don't have anything against the bronies who do any of the three unless they get to the point where it's just borderline creepy.

I just stay away from that stuff though, it's easy enough to avoid.

I also don't understand why some bronies feel the need to bash the past generations, or at least the first one. That's like playing Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and hating the first ever Zelda game. -.- (I hate it when people do that, especially when it's videogames for some reason. A first game/show in a series might suck, kinda like The Elder Scrolls I, but there's no point in attacking it since it's the freaking origin of the game/series

I laughed like crazy when I read this. LOL! I'm a Rainbow Dash fan, but here is why: She is brave, loyal to her friends, and quite heroic. She's saved people's (ponies') lives. Yes, she has character flaws like arrogance, but her good traits more than make up for it. So I have recently felt something weird, that Brony herd is becoming more dirty(?). Really the group has no rules, no one specific goal.

First I thought of starting an alternative one. But that's too hard and it needs time. I'm not even a good leader/creator/founder.

Do you also feel like this? That our community is becoming less valuable, less... royal. 10 year old kids are joining just to be "k3wl".

Some time ago there was only 4chan, EQD, Ponychan or some other sites. Now? Thousands of tumblr blogs, millions of wordpress pages, clones of EQD.

Like many, I'm not very fond of the clopping and the grimdark violence that exists in the fanart, since it really detracts from the innocent nature of the show. I like how the show wittily explores deceptively complex ideas without sex and violence and think that too many non-bronies use it as fuel against us in the non-target audience.
