I am a fan of lot of different things, such as pokemon, anime, LOTR, old world lifestyles and crafts, and of course ponies....

 

However, I am not really involved in any of these fandoms besides partaking in the mediums that the fanbases revolve around. Only FIM's fanbase is what I actively partake in, partly because it's such a deviance from who I am as a whole, and partly because I have such a vastly different worldview from a majority of bronies in general. I feel like there is a lot I can personally contribute for those looking for knowledge and perspective as well as for me to learn from others in who are mostly peers my own age that I would normally never be able to associate with IRL. 

Many of my peers in real life do not want to understand me, nor do I want to partake in what is popular for people my own age in order to have any sort of conversation with people who I know will never care. In other words, I don't want to fake myself just to have friends. Other than that, I live in such a rural area that there really are not any peers my own age anyways, so I want to avoid the feeling of isolation that is too apparent before me.

I'm gonna stick to things that have devoted subcultures instead of just listing every single thing I like.

  • Neon Genesis Evangelion (aka my Favorite Thing That Exists) 
  • A Song of Ice and Fire
  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Doctor Who (mostly the post-2005 stuff, but some Classic as well)

There are a few others I'm getting into but I'm not quite there yet, such as Dune (still on the first novel) and Star Trek (still on the first season of TOS).
