It had taken North Arrow entirely too long to reach his maximum speed. He might have gotten there faster if he hadn't had to weave his way between clouds. If he'd had a better start, he would have finished sooner. As it was, the aurora borealis flitted back and forth between the hurled clouds, and skidded to a halt as North Arrow did, in front of Spitfire. It seemed he had finished at a close second. How had the one with iron wings beaten him? No matter. It wasn't a competition. He saluted Spitfire, and announced, "Ma'am! I've completed all assigned laps, ma'am!"

Lightning Dust quit throwing clouds and instead placed three clouds near each other, carefully positioning them. He sped ferociously around them, the lightning trail partly disappearing into the clouds as they consolidated, and they grew darker and darker, as it became closer and closer to being a miniature thundercloud, but a dangerous one, alas. She stood on top of it, before flipping backwards and stopping behind it. She powered up her wings, and sped away from the cloud, perhaps half a mile away, before turning around and flying back, completely demolishing the space between her and the ball of almost pure lightning, and kicked out with her hooves, sending the cloud flying toward the course, all in the matter of seconds.

Night Song was stunned by the sudden sound of thunder. Her wings became petrified and she began to fall. Her eyes were shut, so she didn't notice the thundercloud coming toward her. She was very tired by this point, which made it harder to spread her wings again. The words of Chaser Wing entered her mind. "If you fall, think of the arrow. You know? The arrow you would fire from your bow? Become the arrow. Shoot back at the target!" he had said. Night Song's eyes opened to reveal glittering indigo eyes as she spread her wings and shot up like an arrow to dodge the cloud and then she flew back up into the course. By that time, she ad completed her final lap. "I-I've completed a-all o-of my l-laps, ma'am!" she said with a salute. She shaking from almost getting electrified and falling down to the earth below the academy.

Orange lightening was over halfway through the amount of laps, his hyperactive style to his flying only made him go even fast, emitting eletric sparks on his wings to make him look like a orange lightening bolt. "YEEEEEAH!!! THIS IS AWWWWESOME!!!!" The assertive pegasus said laughing as he went lap, after lap, after lap.
