Not because we are different. I just think the fans should love the show for what it is, not make horrid things out of it. (that is my opinionated horrid, at least) I'm not into the gore and clop stuff either, but they're still part of the fanbase. It doesn't make sense to join a fandom and then complain about people within the fandom, because then you're just complaining about the fanbase itself. If you don't like the gore and clop stuff, than just ignore it. When I became a brony, I knew there would be gore and R34, so I just ignore it and stay away from it.
