gaming What is the worst game you've ever played in your entire life?

I got some video games as a Christmas gift, and as I'm playing them I got myself thinking, have there ever been any games that you've never have a good time with? I usually don't go out of my way to play bad games because video games are meant to be a source of entertainment. If I'm having a bad day and want to put all of my worries away for a couple of hours, then I turn to video games to relax and wind down.

If memory serves right, the worst game that I've ever played was Shadow the Hedgehog. Whenever I play that game now, I never have a good time with it. For a game that came out in 2005 the graphics are sub-par at best and the voice acting is atrocious, though it did spawn the ever popular catchphrases:

-"Where's that damn 4th chaos emerald"? and "Find the computer room"!

The controls are awful, the story is completely pointless, and in all honesty it is just not a very fun game to play. This is the only game in my collection that I have yet to beat, and I don't think I'll ever get to finishing it 100%. Nothing draws me back to this game, so it has been sitting on my shelf collecting dust for all these years.

If you want a more elaborate review of the game, check out this review by youtube user somecallmejohnny in the link down below. I wholeheartedly agree with everything that he says about the game in his review :D

So yeah, let me know which games you never have a fun time with. I'm curious to see what most of them are XD

The worst game I've ever played was Vegas Casino, it wasn't a bad game from the looks of it.  It was basically a collection of casino games, and it gets boring after 3 minutes.

The worst video game I've ever played has to be Metro 2033. The shooting mechanics were awful and the stealth system was practically broken. I raged through a few hours of that game and then sold it back to Gamestop.

Ah, so many.  But... currently, although I'm sure that I'll likely be the minority in this, I'd have to go with Farmville.  I would keep trying to get into it, it being so 'popular' amongst FB and mom LOVES it and everyone seems to play it.  Not only had I never been able to get into it, but it'd get annoying when I'd have 100+ requests for it.  It's to a point where I just let my mother know my pass and email on there so she can get on and play/send herself/friends stuff.  She does it though and loves it...and I never use FB much at all anymore so with her on it, it's being put to some use in the very least.  We all win. :D lol

So yes, Farmville... if one would even consider it a game. xD

Ring ring, yeah its earth, they want you to take back what you said. But seriously, how could you not like it? The shooting mechanics are fine, I actually liked them for a change. The stealth system was kinda meh, but at least it was implementing something other then graphics into a shooter. Even though they did vamp up the graphics a lot.

Syndicate.

There was just some conscious feeling in me that the longer I played that generic, dull game I actually lost a chunk of my brain (which is ironic, seeing how I've always remembered it!). I've played worse games but this managed to give me a migraine and I've never forgot the wasted hours.

Take a hat, and put all the Call of Duty games in it, close your eyes and pick one out of the hat, the chances are 100% that you'll pick out the worst game/game series I've ever played.

Nope.avi. Anyways, the worst game I've played is Nights: Journey of dreams. I never really liked the feel of most SEGA games besides Sonic the Hedgehog.

X-Men Destiny. I was drawn in by the fact that it was made by Silicon Knights(the creators of Eternal Darkness, which was amazing), but it turns out they made a steaming pile with this one. Awful, truly awful in every regard, I was surprised I was even able to finish it, but I will never want to play it again. :o

Chronicles of Narnia video games, they got boring immediatly and the AI's were very glitchy, the newer angry bird games are really boring and basically the same thing in each new release, and burnout denomination, which is the worst burnout yet. Also avoid mirror's edge at all costs.

Sorry, the game may be somewhat overrated, but calling them the worst games ever is just silly. Seriously, CoD 1,2, and 4 in particular are some of the best games out there

On topic, the worst game I've ever played is Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22, this is what happens when your fanboyism gets the best of you, you end up getting suckered with all the crap the companies throw at you.

Vampire Rain.

This unforgiving piece of code resumes all what can go wrong with a video game. Its ridiculous in its mechanics, makes you feel stupid while playing, has the most stupid boss fights and you cant survive normal enemies as they can take over than 20 rounds IN THEIR HEADS. Its utterly ment for you to play stealthy so much the creators of the game rip off everything they could from MGS and Splinter Cell.

The game just sucks IN SO MANY WAYS that you can write a gide of how not to make a game just by playing it, I f you ever came across it RUN or you can always use it to give it as a prank gift to a friend of yours to pass on the tradition (just as I did)

Hmm... Let's see here. This is going to take some serious thought, really, and I'm not sure this is something I can choose something out of on a global console scale, so I think I'm going to pick the worst games that I've played from each generation of gaming, starting with the NES.

On the NES, and I'm sure many will disagree with me on it, the worst game that I played was Zelda II: Adventure of Link. While a fairly decent game in its own right for the console, I couldn't help but be overwhelmingly disappointed in it compared to the amazing game that came before it. The combat was lackluster and poorly implemented, making for frequent frustration as I'd try to fight enemies who were above or below me but be completely unable to do anything to them, and worst of all, the game had absolutely no sense of direction, leaving me utterly confounded on where to go. Considering I was a child when first trying this game, that only made it all the more frustrating, though when I played it on the Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition years later it didn't seem much better, honestly.

As for the Super NES, it's really hard for me to choose a terrible game, but I feel that Out of this World probably takes the cake for me. While I was enamored with it for a while, I simply could not ever get anything done because the game does absolutely nothing to tell you how to do anything at all, and it's ultimately a frustrating romp through a sci-fi world where everything can and will kill you instantly. All the damn time. These days I might be more appreciative of it, but I remember it at this point only as the SNES game that invoked every bit of my ire.

Moving on to the N64/PSX era, I'd have to say that Superman 64 is the abysmal train wreck that may very well be the absolute worst game I have ever played on any console, ever.  I can't say that for certain, obviously, or I wouldn't be listing this all by generation, but it was simply one of the least fun and most aggravatingly slow games I have ever played, with mechanics that may as well not even be in place at all, since the game was so god-awful you never got to a point where you needed to do more than fly through rings.

In the next generation I'd have to say that Final Fantasy XII on the PS2 is the worst game I played, as it contained a lot to enjoy, but put mechanics in place to absolutely ensure that you couldn't get the maximum amount of enjoyment out of it without powering through a ton of boring gameplay.  The Gambit game mechanic remains to this day one of my most loved ideas in gaming, and probably the sole reason I played FFXII as long as I did, but due to not being able to use most of the gambit options for most of the game, it just wasn't very enjoyable. I kept expecting to get new gambit options over the course of the game, yet they remained locked after hours and hours of play, so I eventually gave up, as it just was becoming nigh impossible to stand the slow combat. It's also insulting that the game tries to make you believe that movement on the battlefield in the game makes any difference when enemy attacks can still hit you when they miss by several feet. @_@

For this current generation I can say that, hands-down, the absolute worst game I've had the misfortune of playing was Perfect Dark Zero, available at the Xbox 360's launch. It promised a re-invigorated version of one of my most beloved N64 titles, but all it really ended up being was a painfully slow, clunky and utterly un-fun First Person Shooter that did nothing more than lower my expectations for any and all shooters to come.

So, uh, there you have it, I suppose. That took a while.

Worst fighing game controls EVER

I'd say COD is the worst game ever, I was going to keep it simple but I can list reasons

-Clipping glitches that break the game

-Easy to hack

-Repetitive story

-Gameplay flaws

-It seems like the multiplayer is specifically designed to aggrivate new players and reward camping

-The graphics never really got better since around Cod 4

You know what, if you really want a fun realistic war game Medal Of Honor is the best, Cod is horrible broken pile of junk Infinity Ward is shooting out in succession to rake in money for their lacking game development.

They need to put time and effort to make quality games, and Call of Duty has never provided that. Sometimes several are released a year, it's ridiciulous, and they're all horrible copies of each other with slight changes.

The only good things about COD are all gimmicks, and that isn't saying much. Sure some of these other games are terrible, but at least they don't release one every few months like COD.

Shaq Fu, and honestly from a first hand experience it was as bad as everyone said it would. Got it, mostly it was the controls that ruined this otherwise forgettable gaming experience. Maybe it was Batman Beyond, I don't remember at this point.

He's gonna take you back to the past
To play the shitty games that suck ass

I seriously could not resist making that joke, if you haven't already check out the Angry Videogame Nerd. I would say the worst game I ever played was Superman 64, there is absolutely nothing about that game that is any good. The graphics and sound are mediocre at best, the controls are atrocious the gameplay is stiff and boring and the "action" if you call it that revolves around mindless fetch quests that involve surprisingly little superhero action and a lot of poorly designed puzzle sequences that are neigh unplayable because of the horrible controls. And Sonic and the Secret Rings takes a close second, the graphics and plot are decent enough but the controls are even worse than Superman 64 and the soundtrack is bleh.

-Close to no glitches break the game

-Barely anybody does that with the newer games

-Barely anybody cares about the campaign

-Depends on what you want in a game

-Generally people find campers to not be a problem

-Barely anybody cares about graphics, either

I do agree that the campaign isn't the most intriguing and that the game is nowhere close to realistic. Infinity Ward doesn't really compare to Treyarch in terms of features to the game. I have to say, Treyarch shows distinctive changes in gameplay, though. Take a look at CoD WaW, then look at black ops.

-How about the wall glitches or the infamous living dead glitch?

-That's a weak argument considering it's so easy to do

-That's a shame, isn't singleplayer what videogames are supposed to be about?

-Call of Duty doesn't provide anything but anger for anyone.

-Many people are campers, it's a problem in all games but Call of Duty actually rewards it, so your argument is invalid

-Graphics aren't the most important, they take a back seat to gameplay, but they should at least put the effort in.

I've played Modern Warfare 2, World at War, and Black Ops. I have to say that the differences are miniscule. Even the weapon set is relatively steady throughout the series. I have to say nukes and dogs, and helicopters, are NOT something that should be in multiplayer. They are cheap and cause nothing but frustration.

I don't know about what YOU look for in a game, but I look for a good time in a game, and Call of Duty doesn't provide that.

Actually, if people in the game didn't camp, then it wouldn't be as realistic (not saying CoD is realistic). Do you know how much 'camping' actually occurs in real wars? I wouldn't say its a problem, I would say its a tactic, and you know why people do it? Because it WORKS. It is not 'noobish' in any way.

You're forgetting something, games are NOT MEANT to be realistic. They are meant to be FUN. If I wanted a REALISTIC war, I'd go and enlist. In a realistic war, you'd be camping at a base for months of no combat toting your gear waiting for your mom to send you some socks. Most soldiers don't see combat.

Games are meant to be fun. i couldn't care less if camping works, it's frustrating and it doesn't belong in a game.

I'd probably have to say Sonic and the Black Knight.

Controls were awful

Sonic's slowed down my a fucking sword that talks to him, pretty much shows the development team ran out of ideas.

Same thing most of the more recent sonic games suffered from: A storyline that's either bad, confusing, or pretty much nonexistant.

Also, while it's definitely not the worst game I've played, Team Fortress 2 is glitchy as hell and it's breaking more and more every update.
