Actually, one of the things I prefer about Pinkie Pie that is relevant is the fact that she can play so many different instruments (at once too!). If she wasn't so terrible with the Flugelhorn that might push it over, but I seriously love the way Flugelhorns sound when done right and holding it to your mouth while saying "Flugelhorn" is by far NOT the right way to play it. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

First off, Octavia's winning, and I'm overjoyed. so here, have a sweet picture of Octavia. And I'm all sad because Trixie isn't winning. So here's a pic of Trixie, appropriately. No offense but I wonder how many voters really think about it, really look at pictures, really give Lyra a chance. Because if this had taken place a week earlier, I wouldn't have. "Dash vs. somepony? They're cute, but --> Dash." Not just that, I wouldn't have given Lyra a chance against Twilight, and she wouldn't be here. But I did stop to think about it. She won a tiebreaker with Cheerilee and here we are. I'm a different brony than I was before this all started, a happier one, and it's all because of her. The only thing I can do at this point is try to sway people to the Lyra side. For me, Lyra has that whole next door neighbor feeling to her... being a background pony somewhat helps that out too. How many polls has she been in before this? How many will she be in afterwards? How well has she done in them, and how well will she do in the future? You know the answers to those questions. Now on the other side, how many polls like that have featured Lyra? Will she get this chance again? And even if she does, will she ever get a chance this good? The Dash fans are great people. We are too. No matter who you vote for you'll be cool with all of us. It's just that what we're looking at is a chance to show the whole board that Lyra, a BG pony not named Spitfire or Octavia, can be just that beautiful to that many people. The real competition is Lyra v. Rainbow Dash right now, those 4 votes are barely a lead at all. Perhaps that was bound to happen sooner or later. I expected the Pinkie/Octavia match-up to be close all the way but looks like it's not gonna happen. I guess I should have seen that coming since Rarity is the supposed beauty queen of MLP Also, the Lyra VS. Rainbow Dash part of this competition is really getting intense. However, if Lyra beats Rainbow, then Lyra will advance to the next round to face the EFC's top seed, Applejack (1), leaving the victor of the Trixie/Vinyl matchup to go and face Twilight Sparkle in the divisional round. So in the event of Lyra winning, who would she face next? Alfonzo and others have mentioned Twilight, which doesn't match the wildcard rules. Rainbow Dash is awesome and cool, and if this were a "best pony" thread she would win easily, but attractive requires something a little different (for me at least). He's using the NFL Playoff style for this I do believe, where as the lowest seed that advances faces off against the highest seed. It would be against Applejack if she won, but if Rainbow Dash wins then she faces off against Twilight.
